Here's the continuation of the True Jumpless Challenge ! If you want to know what it is, check the description of the True Jumpless 1-1 video.
As you might have noticed, I don't have the same number of lives than at the end of the previous level... Or do I ? When a player has no lives at the end of a level, they will get 5 lives back once in the overworld. That's convenient, as we do need these 10 more lives.
In this level, I use some bounces techniques that I detailed in the last videos, like stack jumps, in order to get past many obstacles. I also use the ice flower power to freeze enemies and save some deaths that become very valuable near the end of the level.
At the very end of the level, I kill Blue Toad to get to 0 lives, so he can get back to 5 in the overworld. - Hry

Luigi is not permitted to live.
He already died last time. He had his funeral

He did it to get a lives reset when the game brings you back to the over world, so he has 5 lives next time

I love the pure strategy involved in this challenge. There is so much mapping out and planning that goes into this it’s insane. Even though it is 100% impossible ( and u can quote me ) to beat the game with this challenge, I still want to see how far you can go with it.
Theres some levels that i can garantee not even a tas can do. Rollercoaster level in bowsers land, that stingray one in the cloud land. I dont see it happening

Is using Propeller Suit banned? lol
Edit: I checked description of the video of 1-1. Motion controls are banned, therefore propeller suit is useless. My question has been answered

1:35 freezing the piranha plant as it was descending to use it as a lift up to the next pipe is probably the most satisfying thing i've ever seen
I fully expected everyone's lives to be set back to 5 for each level.The fact you can do this without every extra life is so cool
with blue toad dying and having 0 live after, he will probably use the fact that you get exra life when ou reach 0. which mean more planning to die at the righth time and have one still alive to finish and managing his lives left to prepare for the next level.
this serie will be great to follow :)
If vertical levels are in this game, i think there are? The game ends there.
@@hunger7339 the first vertical Level iirc is lvl 4 being the first castle, but watching how they jump in each other's heads it looks like they might be able to get pass through it
@@hunger7339 im pretty sure most vertical levels are possible, im pretty sure the biggest problems are gonna be water levels

This literally happened straight after 1-1 (see the amount of lives from the end of previous)
And Blue Toad dying at the end suggests that this might become a series (lives reset to 5 if there are none)

If you didn't know, everytime someone gets a gameover in NSMBW, they get reset to 5 lives. Same goes to multiplayer.
I'm pretty sure in the description of the first one they said it will be a series

I love these videos, and I'm glad the TAS isn't a bunch of inhuman inputs like some other games
that's literally the point of a TAS though lol
this is more like a LOTAD in that respect then (Low Optimization Tool Assisted Demonstration) but the whole point of a TAS is to do things the fastest way possible and using strats that are inhuman

@@SuperAmazingJared No it's not. a TAS's purpose is showing strats humans struggle to do consistently or can't do at all. It doesn't need to be faster. TASes aren't exclusively for fast speedruns. There's meme speedruns like the A press challenge in SM64 where the TAS is the opposite of fast.

I wonder if at any point you need to go back to a level, just so a character can die to get more lives
If luigi had enough lives, it would be possible to route this level such that Yellow Toad never dies. That would not only mean conserving an ice flower into other levels, but it would mean you can reset everybody else's lives to 5 for free.
maybe in water levels if they are not allowed to swim.

This series is an insta follow for me. Might be good to mention the rules being in episode 1 before people later on keep asking why they can't just manually bubble or shake (I was wondering this before sobering up and going to the description of the 1-1 video)

The fact the lives start where the previous video left off is really cool! I assume the goal is to make a full game jumpless run, and I can't wait for future uploads. This is awesome!
I feel like this challenge will take a whole year to complete knowing that you have to upload every playthrough.
according to a reply to one of my comments he wont be able to use cannons so this is definatley gonna take a while but i will gladly wait because this is very entertaining

The way A'la Gold freezes all the enemies at all the right moments and in totally unique ways is blowing me away.

I love how in the end of almost all levels you’ll need 2 people alive to get over the base of the flag pole. It’s only a small challenge but if you run out of lives it won’t be so easy.

Pretty sure you need to use jump input for that, else you’ll just keep crouching under the blocks

After this Mario too is rushed to the hospital only to be announced dead from severe head trauma (carrying the weight of a full sized toad on his baby head), but this time his brother Luigi and the other 2 toads are not present. They were crushed by autoscroll or fell into the pit too many times.
