Welcome to Except Ye Repent Video Ministries, the progenitor of the online sermon jam. Those seeking an ear-tickling need not apply. Our sermon jams aren't sugar-coated: this is bold preaching, straight from the Word of God and heralded by some of the leading pastors in the Reformed/Pentecostal/Baptist Christian tradition such as Paul Washer, John MacArthur, Tim Conway, David Wilkerson, and Charles Lawson. We're here to convict, motivate, exhort, and inspire, declaring solely the Lord Jesus Christ as the only way to salvation by faith in His name, remembering always that "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3b).

6 days ago a man was left for dead and the doctors had little hope he would even make it out alive. He spent 6 days in an induced coma for his lungs. His mother prayed day and night. One day a group of Christians came into the hospital asking to anoint his head with oil and pray for him. The very next day he woke up from the coma. He was 50 percent oxygen on his own and 50 percent from the hospital. That night he took the breathing tube out of his throat. Now it has been 6 days since the miracle from death. He wasn't a believer in Jesus. Now he can't stop speaking about how Jesus saved him from certain death. God does hear our desperate prayers. Amen.

I have the interesting testimony of meeting Christ about 6 months before I attended a church. No one taught me to pray, and, being a total heathen saved by grace, my prayers were quite, um, colorful. For example, "God, what the (blankety blank) is going on?!"
Like any good relationship, totally honesty with God is crucial. He knows all your thoughts anyway! Just shoot from the hip. Most of all, claim the promises of God! For example, referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, basically, that anyone who is truly saved will have 'rivers of living water bubbling up inside unto eternal life." That is, you will know and abide with the Holy Spirit. If you do not have that river of life, ask and you shall receive! However, I encourage people to thank the Lord for receiving the Holy Spirit, as if it has already happened. Remember, that anyone who doubts the promises of God won't receive a thing!
Do you have absolute assurance of your salvation? If not, thank the Lord of giving you a 'Romans 8.16' walk with the Lord! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

How the *blankety-blank* does one DO that?? I HATE sitting still and "praying" (whatever that is, exactly. Must be doing it wrong?) I don't want to open my heart to him; as a person whose had her personal identity boundaries violated again and again to where it's a way of life, deliberately asking someone to come int my "sacred" emotional space is really unappealing, the last thing I want to do, after people just plow me over whenever thy want!
My heart has been so disturbed/upset/unsettled for so much of my life it's hard for me to want to unsettle it MORE!! Transparency and vulnerability scare the *BLEEP* out of me!! I'm scared of giving up control of what enters my soul 😖

@@dropkickmurphy4114 Hi Stephanie. It sounds like you have been through a lot! Maybe you had it worse than me, but my father told me how he delighted in imagining torturing and killing me. I could see the homicide in his eyes; he would have loved to kill me! Yet, God is so good!
Do you hate to pray? Are you concerned about God invading your personal space? Remember, every good friendship is built on honesty! Be honest with God about that!
I am sorry you have been so badly hurt by others. Yet, Jesus will never run over you. He said, "Come to Me, all you who are weary and full of heavy burdens and I will give you rest." Be honest with God. Say, "God, a relationship with you scares the 'BLEEP' out of me!'
Moreover, you do not 'give up control of your soul.' When you meet Jesus Christ, you will find that He poured out His life for you on the cross and pours out His life for you day by day.
Gentle. Easily approached. You can talk to Jesus about anything! I will pray that you can know the peace and joy that goes well beyond any heartbreak you have had in this life.
I would like to share two things with you. First, the only time I doubted my salvation is when my father said to me, "Not even God could love you." I thought, "Yeah, I suppose you are right." Yet, before I could even finish that thought, the Holy Spirit poured over me, assuring me that I am loved and saved by the cross of Christ! I will pray the same comfort and assurance for you.
Secondly, this will sound strange, but you cannot know how thankful I am that I had such an abusive earthly father. That is, God takes the really difficult things in life (at one point, I was nearly suicidal) and turns them around as the biggest blessing of my life! It is written, "All things work for the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose."
All blessings in Christ! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@@dropkickmurphy4114 Hi. Thank you for your kind note.
In my walk with the Lord, I love the Romans 12.2, "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." I am a teacher, but I used to have overwhelming anxiety when going to work. Yet, it is the Word of God that has given me relief from the torment of fear. For example, when I pulled into the parking lot of my school, I would quote Scripture to myself, trusting God to keep His promises, "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind." Since I have had so much fear of being rejected by other people, I have clung to the verse, "The Lord is with me; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
What a relief it is to draw near to the Lord! If we need the joy of the Lord, we can say, "The joy of the Lord is my strength." If we need assurance that we are loved and accepted by God, we can quote Jesus, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." By replacing the lies of the enemy with the truth of God's Word, we are transformed!
Merry Christmas! May the Lord richly bless you and yours! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

I'm very new to this channel and it is truly a blessing to me. I love all the pastors that you have on here. That said, I simply have to say, that I do not agree with this one. I don't believe that the one and only true God, (the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) does not hear every single one of our prayers. We do but should try not to put Him in a box that fits what we need Him to be. He's Yah!! He is everything!! Just try to imagine, for one minute, everything He has created and how perfect it is!! He hears every prayer we pray and He even answers every single one. Whether praying in desperation or not.
If I start comparing my prayer life, to anyone else's..., well,I will come up short, every time.
    Even so, come Lord Jesus!!

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38!
Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life. That's what Acts 2:38 is.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ...
Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed.
One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away.
Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction.
Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.
Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH. Titus 1:16, They profess that they know God; but in WORKS they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. God bless you!
