For the record, Lester wasn’t involved in the killings. He wasn’t close to his brothers due to bo’s aggression and violence. Notice how bo came to the camp the night before and then the next morning Lester had no idea the kids were even there. So they clearly don’t communicate. He probably thought it was just a normal town. He even admit he hadn’t been there in a long time
