The water makes you faster, that is if you go down the slide.
the water actually boosts you, if you go in the direction it is flowing.
I actually love the Waterslide tracks when I played the qualifier for Pro, it just makes the game feel like you are in a water park.

Also, thank goodness we weren’t handed the keys to Power Rage for the water flumes. Otherwise, we would’ve hydroplaned... and crashed... a-and explosions would have happened.
The surfboards on the back literally have “Highway 35” on them.

I'm pretty sure the water flumes act like boost pads, it's actually faster to drive in the water than on the sides from my experience (even with semi-slick tire compound)
I actually found that it was faster when you drive with the flow of the water, in the water
But that makes no sense going with the water instead of against it goes against the laws of physics!?!!

I thought that was the point? That being in the water was faster because you get swept away with the current, but turning was harder because you have no grip...
@@maniakb416 You actually have a surprising amount of grip in the water flumes. It's not like super slippy-slidey like rain in the normal map is.

Deora 2 is def the best car in the update for me personally 😂 it’s just so sick and the acceleracers references just sent me to the moon I can’t wait to start playing custom maps now i already beat the story but the environment is just so fun

World Race was my childhood. I still have an original World Race DVD from 2003
Watching Hot wheels cars drive around at high speeds in a realistic world makes my child brain happy

The amount of acceleracers/highway 35 references I can see in this dlc is amazing
It’s only a matter of time before people recreate the various realms from the series
Forreal it gives me so much throwback with the track but now we need all the cars from acceleracer cars
They did mention about the accelaracers show in one of the documentary missions in game, look closely
the Deora II is only a little heavier than a Hellcat, more powerful, and a lot more aerodynamic. does that make it a better car? yes. absolutely.
It's very interesting how they are doing the powertrains for the HW vehicles with known elements for the physics engine. This thing has a supercharged Voodoo V8 from the GT350R. The BTTB is an Indycar from Motorsports underneath.
The BTTB makes sense since the real replica was built that way for an event showcase at the indy 500, but pretty strange for the Deora, since the real one was built with a cadillac northstar engine.
I was hoping that there would have been an Acceleracers paint job as part of the stock ones, but I guess I'll have to use one that someone creates
The boards actually have the highway 35 logo on them so they referenced that appeared in that movie

The deora was a car from the movie Hotwheels Accelerators, very good show, highly recommended watching :)
I'm happy that the Deora II is such a fun car to drive in Forza Horizon 5, and looks so cool to top it all off. Makes up for how Milestone made it not-so fun to drive in Hot Wheels Unleashed.

Dude, going down the water slide in the deora increases speed. It feels like it gets like 150hp in the water slide, but obviously less grippy.
And here returns the king of the Hot Wheels cars. Turn up the Wave ripper sound track and strap on that paint job for maximum style points
The Deora II is by far my FAVORITE car of the expansion! Absolutely ADORE it!

This is why I'm so excited to play the new expansion because the deora 2 It's never been in a force a game and it's one of the cooler Hot Wheels cars besides some of the other obvious answers
If u have off-road tires, going in the water is faster and you’ll be quicker in the ice sections, off-road tires overall aren’t that bad in hw
nope. if you're going in the direction of the water, it's made to boost you regardless. that being said, it is easier to control the car through the water with offroad tires im assuming.
The water tracks are absolutely incredible! Whatever Forza has been doing with Hotwheels lately I love!
The water flumes only work if all 4 tires remain in the water. You do get huge speed boosts, with the Deora you can’t really tell, but take something a bit slower through it and you’ll immediately notice how much faster it is to be in the water

nick the water makes you faster when you go with the current and slower if you are going against the current. also the big fans on top of the tracks make you faster as well.

@@explozen2719 I mainly use the Venom F5, Hoonigan RS200 Evo, BTTB and the Sesto Elemento FE, they’re the best cars for the expansion in my opinion.

This car was my childhood because of the highway 35 and acceleracers movies and as soon as I saw it on the leak from steam and confirmed in the trailer we got I was so excited and now that I’ve unlocked it I can’t stop driving it and probably won’t be anytime soon hahahah
In this dlc you can throw out all of the proper racing rules and knowledge. All you need is 1500-2000hp car and just send it into walls, wallride and the win is yours. It's all there is

It's fantastic! Especially in a class! And the of engine is a powerhouse! Though i suggest you keep the supercharger so you can hear the whine. There is no difference in performance between the supercharger and twin turbos so just keep the supercharger

The only reason why I remember this car was that it appeared in the 2003 movie Hot Wheels World Race movie. I was watching it as hype fuel for Horizon 3's Hot Wheels expansion in 2017.

I unlocked the X class hot wheels rank on the first day of getting the DLC. I had to unlock it twice because it didn't save some of my progress, so I had to do 5 S2 races, the finale, and discover every road again.

Maybe you can do a hide and seek in all 3 biomes in the hotwheels map
going in the water flumes speeds you up when you're going down it
no basic tracks and switches only. and going with the flow of the water is the fastest along the flooms

If you get the hotwheels expsnsion, does it require you to download extra content (more storage space use on pc) or can you go there without downloadning any extra stuff?

So, I’ve already completed the hot wheels expansion, and something that I found is that if u use a off-road vehicle for all the races, it’s actually easier. Well at least, it was for me
Yeah someone else said that if you use the Baja Bone Shaker for all the events, and just upgrade it according to what class you're in, it makes it easier. I'm gonna test that theory today lol.
@@kasper_429 well, I didn’t exactly use the Baja Bone shaker, I just used any off-road car that I had in the specific class. I felt as tho the Baja bone shaker was kind...meh

Oh, I remembered that I beat all of them chapter in hot wheels expansion. That it just I made in first place including deora II.

Nick the water actually makes you go faster and it pushes you car making you have like 20 mph boost maybe more so that’s why the ai was pulling away from you

i use a drift tuned bmw isseta with taction & stability off, manual (in 1st gear) it destroys every drift zone

A wrx at the top of B class (im using the bug eye) is the best for the first set of races, awd is godly on ice (to no one’s surprise)
