Is this keyboard mainly for studio work? Would anyone gig with this?

I think it’s safe to say this is a studio setup keyboard. I’ve never seen it on a stage but that’s not to say that it cannot be done.

I have the Yamaha MODX8. Was thinking about getting one of these. But it would just be a controller. With it having AC power and having and iPad or laptop it could be an awesome live keyboard.

Of course you can gig with it in standalone midi mode, it just loses most of its "smart" functionality. Also - and unfortunately - NI didn't really optimize it for live use, as you can't customize the key leds, you can't display anything useful on the displays (patch names,...) and so on.

Yet another midi controller. It’s same midi stamps! If you can’t make music with last years model you won’t make music this model either. We need more doing videos then equipment. All they ever want is our $$$$
