Absolutely fantastic! Cannot count how many times I have listened to this. Karine is one of the most talented musicians of our time, yet not very well known. Which is a shame on the one hand , but on the other it probably gives her quite a lot of freedom, the so called celebrities do not have.
Only recently come across her thanks to the BBC Podcast Trumped and her lovely song. Enjoying finding more of her music
Remember being at BBC Quay Session that night. So privileged. And that was a great, and unexpected, bonus track.
Just saw Karine and her band for the fourth time. She gets better with age. A fantastic concert at The Barbican. True feeling and musicianship.
Fantastic from Karine and her band, as always. She must be one of the most talented singer songwriters in the UK today. The way she reinterprets songs from very different styles is so cool. Her Scottish song book album of covers is equally worth checking out.

Karine, Inge, and Steven have been amazing for quite a while.
But something has happened in these past couple years (perhaps in parallel with working on the Scottish Songbook project, I'm not quite sure). They have really broken through to a whole higher plain of amazing.
Inge's multi-instrumental fluidity is a constant revelation. Lately though, the intricate intertwining of music, lyrics, just all-around presence between the three of them just transports me places I barely remember from long, long ago. Thank you, all.
What a fabulous sound, a Scottish compilation at it's absolute best!!
