      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před rokem

      hi Nandini... the initial chain defines the neck opening... the more chains, the bigger neckline/cleavage... continue making the yoke until you reach your desire size... you can make chains under the sleeves to "enlarge" the yoke as well. Have a nice day!

    Hi, thank you for this pattern. I would like to ask you how to measure the length of foundation chain for bigger size ?

    • @elijellycrochetchannel
      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před 2 měsíci

      Please see 1:12 RECTANGULAR YOKE Basics ... take your old T-shirt, crochet a foundation chain as big as the opening of the T-shirt. Count the chains. Follow the calculation in the video. It is also a good idea to crochet a couple of stitches and count/measure them.

    I am so glad that I found your tutorial, the blouse you made is perfect for a cake yarn. thank you for sharing. kindly I need your advice, Is it possible to make a cardigan with this tutorial? My problem is that I've got a cake yarn, and I would like to make a one-piece cardigan, (by "one-piece" I mean no cutting my yarn), I have been searching the whole youtube for the perfect tutorial.

    • @elijellycrochetchannel
      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před 2 lety +1

      I am glad to hear that, thank you! :-) Yes, it is possible... you basically have to divide the front part by 2 and carefully count the stitches to keep the front parts straight. You also have to think about the colour continuity. As soon as you reach the armpit, you have to take the yarn, separate the colours of the cake yarn and ask yourself how many rows of each colour you are able to make for both sleeves and the body to make it look smooth.

    Hi i see you are useding 3.50 crochet hook I have not got which one can I used please

    • @elijellycrochetchannel
      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Each yarn will have a recommended crochet hook size to be used with it, depending on the yarn weight. The thicker the yarn, the larger the hook size you will need to use with it. If you want your crocheted fabric to have an open airy weave, choose a larger hook. If you want your fabric to be dense with minimal holes choose a smaller hook. Each yarn label usually has a recommendation for what hook size to use with that particular yarn. And you must also consider how tightly/loosely you crochet with the particular hook.

    thank u for the tutorial, it's very nice!
    kindly advise why is it that we only need to add two stitches on 1 side of the blouse if we are making A line?
    We do not need to add on both sides?
    thanks

    • @elijellycrochetchannel
      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi Emily! I think it would become too wide/curly. But... it depends on your preferences. If you want the A-line to be wider/looser, then you can do it on both sides of course. There will never be one right answer in this case :-) Try it on as you go... and you can always rip it off (if the material allows it). The more increases you make, the looser/curlier it will be in the end... Happy crocheting! :-)

    Alize bella ombre batik and alize diva ombre batik look quite similar online. Do you like one more than the other? Also, which color did you use for this top?

    • @elijellycrochetchannel
      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Dear Elena, Alize BELLA is cotton yarn, Alize DIVA is acrylic with silky effect. Both are beautiful and very nice to work with. Diva is more durable, Bella is more natural and breathable. I used colour 7404.

      Hello! It is a European size 40/42. The pattern is easy to adjust. Just measure the circumference of the opening for your head, make a swatch and follow the instructions. Please also see the comments under the video as many questions have already been answered here and it might help. Have a nice day! :-)

    • @elijellycrochetchannel
      @elijellycrochetchannel  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Susan. Click on the timestamps 1:12 and 3:06... You have to make a swatch, each yarn/hook is different. Count ALL the chains of the desired length of the opening, e. g. 140 chains.... If you divide this number by 5, you will get the number of chains needed for the sleeve (= 28 for one sleeve). If you divide this number 140 by two MINUS the 28 chains you got for the sleeve, you will get the number of chains needed for the front/back (= 70 minus 28 = 42 chains for the back and 42 chains for the front) ... 42 + 28 + 42 + 28 = 140 + 4 chains for the corners (there are 4 corners). I hope it has been explained now :-) Have a great day!
