Because Chelsea are once again, massively over inflating the market.
complaining doesnt equal jealousy, people are complaining because chelsea have spent hundreds of millions in the last 2 windows through a loophole in ffp rules, not jealous of them taking a risk by signing players until the start of the next decade. One bad challenge and they sit on that money every week till their contract is up its horrendous nothing smart about it at all.

As a Newcastle fan I can tell you with 100% certainty that not one Newcastle fan is jealous of Chelsea. We are excited for our future once, and we love the players Eddie Howe has brought to the club. They are all good, hard working pros, and have that extra bit of quality that makes them top players. I would of been a little bit shocked if we bought superstar names, with no thought on how they will play as a team, and I'm not saying that's what Chelsea have done, because we dont know how they will play as a team. Our club owner is actually richer than Chelsea's when you are going to check with the net worth of his wealth. To be fair, Stan was willing to spend the money to buy the players in this summer as the club was initially plotting the 2nd bid for Caicedo with 70 to 80m but just being rejected by Brighton only. Clearly Edu was the fault that he does nothing who has no plan b to go for another defensive player with the use of Caceido's budget after the failed move for our target players.
Not Chelsea is owned by Clearlake Capital, Todd is a part of it . They blew you out the water in terms of evaluation of wealth. Only Newcastle owners richer than us .

James, Chilwell, Silva, Enzo, Kovacic, Kante, Mudryk all get into basically every team in the world. James, Chilwell, Kante and Kovacic are injury prone though. Footballs a team game anyway though. They have hired a whole team of people to make their vision a reality. Paul Winstanly and Laurence Stewart as sporting directors, Christopher Vivell, Joe Shields, Kyle Macaulay, Matt Hallam in charge of recruitment, talent and data analytics and Jim Fraser as head of youth development.
With Potter as manager, the guy that built the current Brighton team who are now pushing for European football this season.

They are building a team to dominate. To challenge for everything for the next 10 years.

At the end of the day, Chelsea are paying ludicrous amounts of money for unproven players on long term contracts. It could work, but you could also have a bunch of unmotivated players that don't click, picking up massive pay packets on loan for the next 7 years.

Yeah of course. There is always risks in every signing. Having long contracts is high risk high reward.
But it also means you control the players so they can't just run down a contract so you make little to no money in a resale.

Judging by your logic, if given the chance, you'd have taken Joao Cancelo on loan to act as a backup for White or the Japanese guy just because they do the job at RB when the truth is they have nothing on Cancelo lol. The only big 6/7 club that may want to be Chelsea is Tottenham. A big oversight with Chelsea's spending currently as compared to their spending from 2004 in the Abromovich era is that the epl landscape is totally different to back then. Back then they only really had Manchester United to compete with. Arsenal were on the decline and Man City weren't an established behemoth. Honestly, I think most people would want a owner that active. Chelsea is going above and beyond at the moment in the transfer window to revamp the whole squad. Bohely is simply doing it in 2-3 windows rather than 6-7. I think Chelsea will slow down once they have moved some players out and get the right players in.
As a Chelsea fan, I’m concerned with the amount spent, but I’m glad that we have an owner that decided to go get the players needed to boost the squad. Whether it will be a success, only time will tell. But I hope in the long term it will prove there’s some plan in this craziness.

This is how badly the media have glorified spending. Of course to media, transfers are brilliant, gives them content and who knows who and what back deals are made that no1 hears about. But to football, transfers don't work like in fifa. Bringing in a bunch of good players but scattergun style, chances are they flop. Signing 1 or 2 players who fit the team or direction of the team works better.
Arsenal and United are great examples, were building their teams over a few seasons, had a comedy season but look at them now.
