I've been watching your Covid videos for 2 years now. I just found the lessons on blood clots. My mother is in hospital now, on ECMO, for multiple blood clots in her lungs (possibly induced by fighting off Covid). The doctors are scheduled to try to remove ECMO today.
Thank you for all that you do.

I developed PE's at age 33 25 years ago and to be honest there wasn't that much information around then, I was given anticoagulant therapy for 6 months and was then told you're cured, however they returned and only at my insistence was I tested and found to have polycythaemia. With hindsight I now know some of the things I experienced through both of my pregnancies prior to diagnosis could be attributed to this condition and I feel lucky to be alive...Very informative thank you..

Thank you again for a wonderful and informative discussion Dr. Campbell.
I’d like to point out that the reason oral contraceptives are a risk factor for VTE is because of the synthetic progestins they are made of. Natural progesterone and estrogen do not increase risk for VTE.

morning dr jc-well its 3am and another restless night-decided to run thru your most recent shares after you 2nd live stream to learn something new-but as i lay there listening-to your lecture-and added up factors which contribute to and ways that they move-i came to the realization that i am a walking time bomb-recently had a bad fall with intense bruising on left shin-approx 5inches-hurts like hell-but life goes on-that was 3 days ago now the left hip internal @lymph gland extremely swolled and hard plus some other issues-which as usual i ignore or nuetralize by bed rest and therapy-but as you went thru the list-surgeries/major=trauma/mucho=tumor/anorectal=internal hemograging/removed body parts and other issues with feet and circulation-my add up was not what i would have hoped-guess i have to face the truth-that time is short and life is a gift and the human body as a system is interconnected/interdependant and probably review this series again-listening for more clues-as an old man thought i did pretty well so far-listening learning applying and avoiding the ama-and their drugs and got try this-but since that lump at the lymph node left leg was noticed yesterday and still hard and protruding may be some sort of indicator of internal byproduct of that fall in the garden and unfortunately rip to the bone-manythxs4yourgr8teachings

This was very good and informative, much appreciated. Thank you from Norway, dr. Campbell.
Got a DVT and PE last September (age 43) after having slept on a "stressless" chair with legs resting on a kind of a stool (leg-support), perhaps in addition to a lot of static sitting in office and most probably together with de-hydration (lost some of the thirst-feeling after radio therapy against non-hodkins in lymph-nodes in neck some 17 years ago).
Got a painful leg. Massaged it with a hammer-like massager. Then painful chest when breathing. The following night: could barely move in bed because of chest pain. Later, at one stage, it was like being stung/stabbed with a knife through my chest (then at the hospital), got Voltarol as pain killer and felt better. It took a while before they saw/concluded there had been a tiny PE in periphery venes in lungs. They could barely see it after a CT scan and a second look at the images. Got Xarelto for a few months. They never found any particular reason for my DVT except from my own idea about why it might have occured, as a combination of those three risk factors. A bit of an experience.

I have been dealing with Pulmonary embolism for months. Do you think they could have been caused by the covid vaccine? I have had three vaccines. LE u/s neg, former smoker, quit 5 years ago. Now on eliquist bipap at night. Very sob. 2nd ct scan shows some resolution of bilateral clots on lungs, no occlusion. I am on continuous home O 2. Just worried it may have been caused by covid vaccine. Never had the covid . Tested. Neg x2

Hi ❤ I'm interested in palmer digital thrombosis? I have a small blue lump in the crease of my middle finger in left hand. I've not knocked it. It's been there for 3 weeks. It can get quite painful but it's just there. Doc hadn't a clue what it was. I did my own research and it came up with PDT. Is this anything I should be concerned about?
