- Yesterday, a heinous crime unfolded in Dimapur: GB Abdul Kayum Talukdar was shot dead by unknown miscreants at Signal Bosti Area. Business owners of New Market and the public in general are shocked to witness this most gruesome criminal act where an active GB of New Market has been shot. Questions are rising about whether the public is safe in Nagaland or not; why is it so easy to murder someone when we have the law in our state or country?

got to also understand that news channel culture is quite recent in Nagaland, besides, what news channels we are familiar with are larger “national” networks, in the sense that they are also manipulated by large corporations behind serving certain sections of a larger society. I digress but We don’t know, nor do we have access to smaller news channels spread across every region of the country, though Nagas won’t be found in those smaller regions thus no such cases should occur.
Anyways, this is a local news channel meant to deliver local news. In a slight sense, places like ours can be compared to “sleepy towns” where earth shaking events occur rarely. As a matter of fact, if you’re worried that we are not represented well enough in journalism, if you are a frequent reader and viewer of “greater” social concerns for Nagas, a simple google search might help. There are efforts made, though not very great.
More shocking news is Non local becoming GB in our state .
Why always shutter down ? We have police administration to slove the case . Why should all the public suffer ?
