This shows their new bass player, Fami, and she is PHENOMENAL!!! If you listen closely you'll hear how she changes the sound for each part of the 4 solos in the background. She can pick with her fingers, tap, slap, and pop effortlessly. FYI - All Lovebites songs are in English.
LOVEBITES is a five-piece all-female, Japanese heavy metal band with deep musicianship (plus classical music/piano background). They transcend gender, genre, and geography, with some 60 songs in their discography. They won Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band (2018), toured with Dragonforce (2019), first female Japanese band to perform at Wacken Open Air (Germany) and others in Europe, and are unusual among Japanese bands in choosing to sing in English plus good lyrics (a daunting task for native Japanese speakers). They play a variety of heavy metal styles and are heavily influenced by NWBHM, especially Iron Maiden and the "big four" thrash metal bands. Their live performances are best: Their 4th STUDIO ALBUM, 2023 (Judgement Day; highly acclaimed (wiki), Guitar Solos galore): Judgement Day (music video) from their latest album, 2023 (power-thrash-symphonic metal): czcams.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/video.html ; Stand and Deliver (music video) czcams.com/video/4ImGA7cPyrs/video.html SHOW OPENERS: Thunder Vengeance (thrash - show opener): czcams.com/video/yWE7PqCpGi4/video.html ; The Hammer of Wrath: czcams.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/video.html. However, this This is their first song from their very first album, 2017, but also the first with their new bassist. The previous live version of this song Awakening/The Hammer of Wrath is equally superb. RANGE OF METAL GENRES: When Destinies Align (power metal with insane solos), this is live czcams.com/video/e48OwGcT3Bo/video.html, the music video is also worth watching. Shadowmaker (thrash/symphonic with insane solos): czcams.com/video/wmAKRiG89Qc/video.html Break the Wall (thrash): czcams.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/video.html Set The World on Fire (thrash metal): czcams.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/video.html ; Edge of the World (ballad with Gary Moore inspired solo): czcams.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/video.html Epilogue (ending with flashes of Hotel California/Jimi Hendricks): czcams.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/video.html TWO UNIQUE MASTERPIECE PERFORMANCES: The two songs below represent two exceptional performances that perhaps no other band can perform live: Swan Song (with Chopin classical piano intro) czcams.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/video.html ; Frozen Serenade: czcams.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/video.html CLASSICAL PIANO EP covers/arrangements of Heavy Metal Songs: Interestingly, one of their lead guitarist (Miyako) just released a classical piano EP that covers Metallica (Battery), Gary Moore (The Loner), Yngwie Malmsteen (Far Beyond The Sun), Helloween (Eagle Fly Free), and Deep Purple (Burn)
That red Flying V is Miyako's Signature Dean. She also has a Signature Orange cabinet and a Signature Lunastone effects pedal. Glad you are re-examining Lovebites - I think you will be glad you did. *Asami's* vocals can take some time for some people to get used to, but once you get it she sounds glorious. Nice to see you on the Discord. Welcome to the Wolfpack.

During their time off, from what I read, Asami worked on her English (as did the others), Miyako hooked up with midori to help her play faster (didn't know that was needed), and they found a new bass player. The new album shows they didn't loose a step but gained many steps. The other video release from the album is Stand Up and Deliver (Shoot Them Down), but they have videos from each new song with the band reacting to their own songs for the fans. A 7 song video release from their coming out Concert, Knocking At Heavens Gate, is their first two day show with Fami and they energy they show is even better than previous shows. Enjoy!!
Thats awesome! I can def see the improvements on the Asami english, it sounds great, appreciate the information and will be diving deeper into it, thanks for checking the reaction out 🤘🏼
Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack, Lovebites fans around the world will be along to give you information. Lovebites are a five piece all female Japanese metal band. They take much of their inspiration from the British and European metal bands of the 70's and 80's such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. One of the founding members, Miho, is a big fan of Steve Harris of Maiden. They were formed in 2016 by Miho and Haruna, who both had been members of an earlier band, Destrose, which broke up in 2015. The members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained as a Ballet Dancer and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. Writes many of the lyrics and sings in English. Midori, Guitar. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. She is a body builder and has scored highly in competitions. Miyako. Guitar, Piano and Keyboards. A classically trained pianist, she composes much of the bands music, often incorporating themes from classical music. Both guitarists play lead, swapping back and forth lead and rhythm. Their harmonised solos are a wonder to behold. Haruna, Drums. Nicknamed 'Little BIG Engine' due to her diminutive size, 1.4 meters tall, and her relentless speed and precision over concerts that can be up to near two hours long. Miho, Bass Guitar. Co founder along with Haruna, Miho left the band in 2021 due to personal reasons. The band then went on hiatus until they recruited a replacement in 2022 in the form of then 20 year old Fami. She has her own YT channel with nearly 700,000 subs. A few recommendations for further listening. Thunder Vengeance, M.D.O., Winds of Transylvania (written for a crazy Japanese Anime series Vlad Love) Frozen Serenade, Swan Song with Chopin piano introduction played by Miyako, Edge of the World, Epilogue. Whatever you choose, if you enjoyed this, I don't think you will be disappointed. I regard Lovebites as one of the best bands I have heard in nearly 60 years of listening to rock and metal. 🤘🐺
Appreciate the info Tony 🤘🏼 very cool that Midori is a bodybuilder haha i can certainly see elements of of the bands you mentioned but I like that they found their own original sound, thanks for checking the reaction out!
A lot of people get held back on Lovebites because Asami's vocals throw them off. After a few listens, you not only get used to how her voice is, but you start appreciating it more and more. Even the previous songs that you may not have enjoyed, give them more of a chance. Once you're accustomed to what her voice sounds like, I'm sure you'll enjoy even their original stuff. And as far as the red guitar you liked, that's Miyako's signature Dean she had made 3-4 years ago. Official name of the guitar is the "Dean USA V Flame Maple Floyd PF Trans Red". And they're DEFINITELY an amazing live band
Listening one song from Lovebites tell nothing about them. They are so versatile. The old songs are just as good as the new ones. You probably just listened just the one, that was not exactly to your liking and didn't lit the spark. But they have great old songs too.
Yes I feel that I was unfair to them up to this point, I checked and the songs I heard from them before were DONT BITE THE DUST and THE APOCALYPSE, they didn’t clicked for me the first time a few years ago but I’m looking forward to revisiting them again, will probably check out some live performances. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
@@HatabaReacts Funny thing. Those two songs are exactly my least favorite ones, if I had to pick 2 of their worst songs of all time. I never liked Don't bite the dust and Apocalypse is ok, but very mediocre to their normal quality. You were indeed unlucky to pick those two first. :D
Seriously, "I hope they have improved from their earlier stuff!" Your nativity is impressive when trying to give structured criticism and failed miserably! Maybe you will improve overtime. Highly unlikely!! 😉😎
Sorry if the comment sounded disrespectful it wasn't my intention, if you watch the video you can see that I actually enjoyed the song quite a lot, the first two songs I heard from them "DONT BITE THE DUST" and "THE APOCALYPSE" wasn't my cup of tea, however I really liked JUDGEMENT DAY and "STAND AND DELIVER", I will be taking a deep dive into their catalog from here on out, thanks for watching 🙂
LOVEBITES surprised me 🤯 what should I react to next? Let me know down below ⬇️
