To be fair with the walking out on her wedding… did she really have an alternative choice? It would’ve been worse if she married him and let Peter think she went through with the wedding after she realized she loved him.
And as for the actress not being able to take criticism. Yeah, true. But she just had what she thought would be her big break and make her feel like her dreams came true but a critic slammed her and said she did a bad job. That would destroy anyone just starting out in their career even if she was a seasoned professional.

Gwen is actually a better girlfriend to Peter than MJ in Raimi's movies.
I think it's the same way even in the comics. Which is why he didn't give a damn about MJ when he had heard that Gwen Stacy was resurrected and kept franticly searching for her. Gwen Stacy's death was a scar that Peter Parker could never get over.

Gwen Stacy by Emma Stone was imo a godsend of a character for the TASM movies and is imo the best Spidey love interest in all of the Spider-Man movies. Still, I gotta say, this version of Gwen was pretty good, especially considering she was a side character.

Gwen was a model in the Raimiverse and was also the third wheel in the Peter/MJ dynamics. That was exactly the same spot MJ was in during her comics introduction. I wish Bryce Dallas Howard got to play MJ instead.

Too be fair In a lot of cases MJ can be seen in the right in her perspective.
In Spider-man 2, Peter completely misses all of her plays when everyone else in her life could show up including her abusive father. while misses all of her plays, Peter tries to get back at MJ even though peter friend zoned her in Spider-man 1 so she goes with John Jameson believing he would treat her better.
MJ is going through a hard time during Spider-man 3, she lost her dream job and when Peter tries to support her he keeps on relating it to spider-man when it’s completely unnecessary and unrealistic in her perspective. After MJ gets fired at her Job and talks to Peter at the date, when MJ isn’t feeling well, Peter immediately assumes that it’s her getting recognised and refers to back to spider-man always getting reconsigned just because if something is going for him apparently means that everything is has to go good for her
So idk, MJ works really well for me In the trilogy. However even though I ‘complained’ about Peter being rude to MJ isn’t the case at all. HES SPIDER-MAN he wouldn’t have time to arrive at her plays. Peter is a very complex person but what makes this all work is that MJ obviously doesn’t know that he’s spider-man until the end of spider-man 2 and all works beautifully in spider-man 3 with Peter growing a huge ego (which works so well with the black suit)
