I love DDE, but something needs to be said about how Mike has elevated this channel. It's cool to see the crew drive supercars daily, but it's even cooler to see the building process (in detail) associated with making these cars reliable. After watching DDE for 5 years, I can say that Mr. ESSA has changed the game with these videos. Love you guys!!!

personally, i dont like DDE turning into a build channel. it’s not why 90% of people started watching them years ago. dont get me wrong, I LOVE MIKE AND HIS KNOWLEDGE. but imo, this isnt DDE… :(

What a difference from the days of DDE having to rely on itinerant mechanics and odd shops to try and build their dreams. Mike does it all right because he will have to live with any failures to deliver promised results.
@@gregedmand9939yeah if engines fail Mike rebuilds it again for 15 dollar an hour minimum wage n Damon provides the big bux for rebuild parts. Ls7 engine in supercars is a good alternative if Ferrari engines keep failing cheaper to swap when it warps than Ferrari engine
Its not luck its hard work. Damon worked hard enough to make a business worth Mike's time, and also is paying him accordingly for his expertise. Mike's not taking on a charity case, and just helping them out of the kindness of his heart. Luck is simply what lazy people refer to as the fruits of the hard work someone or some group has put in. You see the fruits of there labor, but dont forget they worked hard to get to this point.
I think this kind of content was important for your viewers. I would imagine most don’t understand this technical jargon, but it’s very educational/interesting still. For me, I truly enjoy learning more about cars. Mike has done an amazing job, and you can really tell he actually cares. Great job guys, please keep this informative kind of content coming.

It's crazy how much people enjoy these builds and the Mike/Tim/Mark combo, myself included. The decision to bring Mike onto the team and have him make his own videos for the channel was potentially the best decision in DDE history since Dave started.

I, too, was looking for the "Sabotage" element. Whatever it is and where it was eludes me. However, I am also just an old "Shady Tree" mechanic with zero experience in the high-end vehicles. These videos are very fun to watch though. 😊

As a mechanical engineer, the knowledge set forth in this video is uncanny. The colossal level of expertise, and the fantastic dialogue between Mike and Dsport was unbelievably eye opening to me. I've always wanted to build a race class styled engine for a Mustang and now I know how to make it possible. Love what you guys are doing. Listening to Mike & Michael bounce their knowledge and wisdom off each other was a real treat!
Ngl, I usually skip through some of the dialog sections in videos, but that wasn't the case here. I was soaking up all that knowledge like it was a serotonin & dopamine cocktail.
The F12TTGTR project and the 720GTR are the 2 single best things to ever happen to DDE. You guys need to maintain this ambitiousness you have for these 2 projects and complete them and keep them and document the entire thing. I look forward to a half hour or even an hour of this every single day after a hot day at work and I come home to relax.
Why did Kaufman and Gintani not go this route in the first instance? Seems that they both failed in their pursuit for power over reliability and longevity? This series has exposed them both to be ego driven rather than engineering focused... Ie, they just wanted high numbers despite the sacrifice being made to the engine. Would that be a correct assumption?
Mike is doing it right building the engine for boost. Gintani, I'm sure, didn't want to take on this level of project and punted to get DDE out of his hair.

Mike and Tim are adding to the DDE brand big time. Learning about these processes and the many experts who work in the So Cal area is awesome.
Killing it… when you are short on time it’s always good to outsource anything that you can. Love that even with the time crunch you are taking the time to get the seat brackets correct and not just calling “good enough”. Almost time to bring in another guy or two and to start project managing to spread it up. This way when you are out getting parts, drawing cad, finding venders, and finding parts the project is still moving forward….Just an idea because 60+ days comes faster then you think. Good Luck
