Malaysia - Borneo: Sandakan & Sepilok 2024 (Sunbears & Orangutans)

After Kota Kinabalu the next stop was Sandakan… not a place to our liking to say it kindly. Your only reason to go there is to visit Sepilok (and Kinabatangan River: in our next video) which is in this video.We started with the Sun Bear Conservation Centre and after, we went next door, to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. A sanctuary for injured, orphaned, and/or rescued orangutans where they are trained to survive in the jungle. A learning process that can take years. Upon graduation, rehabilitated orangutans are released into the surrounding forest. Despite the rain, we got to see them all and enjoyed every minute of it. Hope you guys enjoy the video too.
