As for the shoulder buttons on the Hori controller; you can make them *swap* *automatically* (and stay that way) by *holding* *the* *ZL* *&* *ZR* *buttons* *while* *plugging* *in* *the* *controller* . If performed correctly, the swap new layout is indicated by a *glowing* *red* *light* in the middle of the controller.
As for the snapback, I haven't personally experienced this issue while playing. But this made me curious, so I went into a game to try and *really* force it, and I was (unfortunately) successful in doing so; it was in fact quite easy to replicate. Still, this is not something that has affected my personal play *whatsoever* , as I never flick my analog stick playing Smash.

Yeah, it should stay that way until you change it back again. It might revert if left unused/unplugged too long, not 100% sure on that one though.

Based off of the comments looks like some have good experiences and bad. Mine is a bad one with the PDP. The A button sticks randomly. Happened only after a week of playing. I tried cleaning tricks I found online but nothing worked because it wasn’t dirty obviously, just being a week old and all. But I found several comments where people had the same button on other review vids. Stinks because mine is a Sonic controller, one of the more rare ones. So I’ve contacted PDP as I’ve just purchased mine 1.5 months. Per their warranty, they should fix it or replace it. I’ll let you that goes.
Bud so far the powerA wired has been my go to controller. The same height as you the same small hand size. 3 months, still going strong.

Now This is why we try hards need reviews from competitive players. You see, casual reviewers like spawn wave, bob wulff, nintendo life or beat em ups barely know what dash dance is so they would never notice or say anything relevant like the snapback issue. They barely say: "oh, it works" and that's about it

At some point you will snap and throw it on the floor or sealing so plastic flyes around the aparment. Imagine when you finally get the chanse to punish someone in game, so you dash their direction your character will dash then do a 180 before you punish move comes out hitting nothing.
