Hi Stephanie, great tutorial!! I have a question, you mentioned you first shot the pour shot, then you shot the glass separately to get both in focus, was that because even at F/10 there just wasn't enough depth of field to get everything in focus? Also, I am guessing if you increased to F/16 you would then need to increase your ISO which may introduce noise.

Hey Tony! Hope you've been doing great. Definitely - at F10 while that's still quite a deep depth of field, things like text may still not be perfectly sharp and had I gone with F/16 you're spot on that there just would have been too much noise with the accompanying ISO. I think F10 could still be "passable", but I tend to lean toward compositing separate photos together to ensure everything is in focus whenever possible. This is also something I've noticed when shooting with a 50mm lens - especially when you're up close to the subject, you have to pay close attention to getting everything in focus otherwise you'll pull the image into lightroom or photoshop and be surprised that it's not quite there.

Love your choice of matching sweater 🙌 Great tips about the positioning of the tap + about not making the pouring images with a full can (I wouldn't necessarily have thought of those until I ran into the issues while shooting😉) Thanks for showing the BTS images og both the placement of the light on the floor + the angle of the camera - those are always very helpful. The end result is so crisp and impressive - well cone Stephanie👏 Always looking forward to your new videos 🌱 Wishing you a lovely weekend from Copenhagen, Denmark - best from Susanne
