    I was there for a month Jan-Feb explored Accra Cape Coast volta region and Kumasi, I'm Jamaican born living in London.I must say it was a great experience definitely returning also plan on visiting other countries on the continent. Peace bro

      @@parsnipfingers no Ghanaians absolutely adore Jamaica and know we are also poor and disenfranchised and also that we were both under British Colonial rulership ... Saying he was from UK he would be charged higher prices and tbh Ri just got his Jamaican citizenship .. so he’s actually more British than Jamaican.

      If Riaz has some wealth I’d like to think he’d overpay voluntarily to these people (and indeed, Jamaicans) if he is in a position to do so. From the videos I’ve enjoyed so far he comes across as a gentle, respectful man in any case.

    Thank you. Beautiful seeing our family enjoying their work. How third world can they be, with so much food and other resources just like in England.
    Remember when they only showed tumble down old houses/shacks and children with ripped up clothing? No one knew Africa was the same as anywhere else; affluent areas and deprived areas. Thank God for.the mobile/cell phone with camera. God Bless Africa.

    I was in Jamaica in 2002 Ocho Rios.
    In Ghana last year 2019 .Makola market in Accra is amazing beautiful and friendly place.

    Thanks Riri for reply. Sounds really nice. Can’t wait to get to Ghana. I’m uk born with Jamaican parents but am soo connected to Ghana. I have Ghanaians in the family through marriage so always want to go but can’t get the chance yet. I’ll look for that drink for sure when I get there. I was trying to look up ship documents but the archives i came across are paid for. Was this the case for you or am I looking in the wrong place. I went onto the gov.uk National Archive site.

      Its called Asana/Asaana. Its like a natural cola or root beer. It was really nice when cold!

    Some of the street foods were wrongly named, you had roasted plantains not baked plantains and you also had peanut (nkate cake)cakes and not kuli kuli

    Hello Riri, what time of the year did you go to Ghana. Agree with you, went there a few years ago and I loved it. Had plans to return there this May 2020; but with virus its no go. We have left our deposits with Airline etc and hopefully we can arange another date. Good luck with your ventures. Peace

      I was there in late february. December and January are too expensive! I already had plans to return in May as the flights were relatively cheap but same I had to postpone

    I was looking hard for the Jamaican flag which is usually prominently displayed in Ghana's market scenes. Didn't see one, but at 3:45 "you're from Jamaica, welcome" handshake. Many of our less informed try to distance themselves from Africa, but from my observation, Africans always express love for us, their kin.
    Ghana is so much like Jamaica, but without the guns and political tribalism. I beg for those days to return.

      U would normally see the jamaican flag in Kumasi among the Ashantis. Jamaican flags are very common in the Ashanti region on the backs of cars. Ashantis also have their flag that has similar color as Jamaican flag too
