I am in the process of applying to US universities and have taken a gap year due to some family problems. I had a great 12th percentage- 95%, 1550 on the SAT and good EC’s but got rejected ED from Columbia, EA from Case western and am now waiting for other decisions. Rice is my second dream college and I hope I get accepted there. Now I think taking gap year is a huge disadvantage for me because I didn’t make the best of it. Had to stay home and take care of my mother. Hope to get into a good college now.🤞

I took a gap year due to serious health reasons after my A-level GCEs, and now I am waiting for college decisions after applying as a regular decision applicant, and during my gap year I participated in an internship, a detailed online course from coursera, and a CPR course from American Heart Association so will the gap year still negatively impact my college decisions?

honestly it depends on what you want to pursue, PCM opens up a lot of fields from CS to electronics, Mechanical, etc

I was thinking of taking the jee exam but the competition is so high that I don't think I would be able to crack the exam , I was thinking of taking cuet and doing B.cs (in maths & phy) but then I do masters from physics in Abroad with scholarship ? The second field that I'm interested in is designing so I thought of giving Uceed as it gets you into IITs and after cracking Uceed one gets placement into B.des but I'm not sure about masters in field of designing, can one get scholarship in US unis for M.des if not then what are other options after B.des?
I did biomedical because I had PCM + Bio, and I was interested in the subject!

Do not recomend Adelphi University, after studyung there for 1 year can list several pros and cons I noticed
First of All is an accomodation they provide for 6000$ are not really comfortable for the price you are paying
Second of all the Scholarship amount can be huge, however when you arrive on campus they will say the different price,much larger that it was supposed to be
Third of All is The International Student office do not care about international student
Moreover the deadlines for Payment plans is very short
However there're also couple pros
The campus is large and beatiful and faculty stuff is really friendly
The university is located near the train station that goes to every part of New York

Hi dear. My sister applied for PhD for fall 2024. She did not waive her lor acess rights. She did it very naively. Her reccomenders are cool with it but will it increase her chances of rejection?
There is no as such relation known online that it leads to rejection but it does seem to catch an eye of the application reviewer that a student wanted to see his/her LOR (kinda showcasing that he/she was not confident)
