Modern cookware is nothing by comparison. Ours were from the Oneonta, Alabama location bought by my Dad (a traveling salesman) back in the late 1950s & 1960. He bought the piece one at a time for each of kitchens. (They were expensive back then.)
I love the scrub paste from scrub daddy!! That shit works wonders on my husband’s Wolfgang puck cookware.
my parents still have their set from the early 90's. some of the best pots ever!
Hey thanks buddy, I have the same exact pots and pans that my step dad gave me when I moved out at 18. I'm 49 today and I still have them, consider getting rid of them many times throughout the years, I'm glad I kept them!
Barkeepers friend be saving entire kitchens xD
I still have the set of Revere Ware pots and pans i got as a wedding gift 40 years ago! Use them every day.
I've had my Revere Ware set for over 50 years. I love them.
I still use almost daily the set that belonged to my grandparents (the set is around 60 years old). My grandfather also worked in the factory for a time when it was in Rome, NY.
A welder I know was uses something called Flitz brass and copper tarnish remover for his electrodes. Stuff is amazing. Tarnish wipes right off no scrubbing.
I use all vintage Revereware copper bottoms except one non-stick skillet to make pancakes and such. I love them.
Huh I grew up with a pot set like that and it's honestly one of the best pots out there
The ketchup method didn't cut the mustard 😂😂😂
I cut the mustard after I drank ketchup😮
😂😂😂😂
I love using Bar Keeper's Friend to wash pots.
I have mine from my wedding in 1985. Still using them.
I have my grandparents’ copper bottom set from the 60s. Still fantastic.
Childhood memories came straight back. That pot is where I learned how to cook everything.
I have the same one. Best pot I’ve ever owned. Super easy to clean too!!
Mine was a wedding gift 53 years ago. I have the full set and still use it. 😊
In india, we get pots like this. We also have other metal pots like brass. But back in 90s. Today it's often seem in restaurants and rarely used in homes. I grew up eating the food cooked in brass and other metals.
I have these pots. I have collected them over years from the thrift store. Best pots ever☀️
You can use a big block pencil eraser too.. my mom used to use them on her old cooper tea pots that she kept in the china cabinet.
I have a Paul Revere pot …congratulations, I love these ❤
I hate several of those pots. They are so vintage but they are the best!
My wife and I inherited a full set from her grandparents. They're fantastic pots and pans and we refuse to sell lol
I have one of these from my grandmom ❤️ she cooked the best squash in it and now it’s the perfect rice pot for me 🥰
Do you mind if I ask 😅 how she did the squash ? Do you mean like boiling it in water or was there some nice recipe to it 🙂 i love squash and sweet potatoes, but I tend to only do them in the oven and would love to know more cooking alternatives for them ❤
I always see these pots at the thrifts stores I will definitely start to buy them . Thx u
Great find!! Great cleanup!
I work at a resort that has sets of these vintage pots in each cabin.
I have some exactly like this one. They were my mother’s ❤
Makes me wanna cry when I saw this. My mom cooked everything in copper bottom pans . Hers were beautiful… I miss those days
My grandmother had every one they made! I wish I still had them 😢 Now I know how to clean them!
My parents stilll have there copper bottom pots they got as a wedding gift a long long time ago they still work great
I have had my Revere Ware pots and pans for 50 years. Have cooked for a family of 5 and they are still hanging in. Every once in a while I have to tighten the screw on the handles.
I've found some amazing pots at thrift stores after they've been cleaned up, look like new, or almost so. Keep them shiny using baking soda, liquid dish soap, and steel wool. Slicker than Teflon and a lot safer to eat food cooked in.
Some of the best cook ware ever made!!
*Old* Revereware is the best cookware, hands down. I actually had the induction cooktop in my house removed because my Revereware mattered more!
Mbalson
Wie
Aren't induction stoves electric/ flat tops? Figured this pot would be perfect for them
@@anotheruser7104induction "induces a electromagnetic field in the pan"
its just a big magnet that spins/flips from North to South really fast
You NEED A METAL PAN for it to work, but all netals work, but copper works better than aluminum.. but ONLY THE BOTTOM needs metal in it
Priorities!
I have a few pans that were my mother’s. She received them when she got married. They would have been married 65 years. Pans still In great shape!
They must have been married in 1958, cuz that's when I did !
My grandma gave me her Revereware as a gift when I bought my first home last year. She got it as a wedding present in the 1950s. It’s still in great shape. I cook on it every night. Another example of not making it like they used to. It truly is excellent cookware!
Y'all are making history
Who would have thought non perishable materials don't perish. It's like being surprised that plastic bottles never disappear naturally 😂
My mother is 87 years old and still uses her Revere Ware pots and pans daily… that she received as a wedding gift 64 years ago! They’re still in excellent condition despite being put in the dishwasher. Also, cut a lemon in half, dip it in some salt and scrub any copper cookware and it will look brand new.
I had no idea these were sought after until this video. I got one the same size as the pot in the vid for 50 cents at a thrift shop and I've used it almost every day for years !
