My late spouse and I gifted each other with necklaces on our wedding day, wrote our own vows and my hair was cornrolled in the 70's. I never had a engagement ring nor did I want or need one . We bought each other rings for Christmas after 10 months of dating. and we bought each other rings after 10 years of marriage. It's all good❤😊 love you and so glad you continue to heal.
So there you go, Debbie. Y'all already had rings (made a commitment) before y'all got engaged and married. Therefore, he was willing to wear a ring that symbolized his commitment to you even before proposing to you. Mr. Al was a special man, yes he was. His kind is few and far between. Great topic. Thanks Camille. Lately, I have seen men wear a symbolic of a wedding ring on their married finger to show he is off limits. I think it's a good thing that men consider their engagement period too by wearing a something to symbolize being spoken for and off limits.
That's the word, Berecia...symbolic! It's not his official wedding ring, but as you said, something that says he's taken/off limits. We're on the same page. Thank you for watching.

I don't know about this male engagement ring thing. I'm glad this is coming around after I got married. When my husband proposed to me and I said, "Yes" and he put that engagement ring on my finger, that meant WE were engaged, and I expected him to act accordingly. 😂
LOL! I get it, Sherrie. I was thinking more like he wears a place-holder on his finger that signifies his "allegiance" to you like he expects you to do. It doesn't have to be his official wedding ring. I respect how you feel though. Thank you for watching.
I think it could be a good idea but I really want to make sure he is telling others that he is off limits bc regardless of the ring he is going to do what he wants. I want him to value me and our relationship.
