love shoegaze and whirr, and yeah the buried vocals are pretty typical. my bloody valentine kind of set the standard for the genre with their album Loveless, maybe worth checking out a song like Sometimes if you're interested in seeing where some of the influences for these guys comes from. heavy distortion, drowned out vocals, awesome guitar tones.

When I discovered Whirr in like 2014 it completely opened up a whole musical realm to me. And while there are tons of amazing shoegaze artists out there, none quite do it for me like Whirr does.

You should listen to one of their new songs. They came back after years and released 2 new songs as of now, I recommend "Blue Sugar" by Whirr, It's a really great song.

Used to like these guys a lot, but worth knowing they were dropped by their label after tweeting some really nasty transphobic "jokes" about G.L.O.S.S. (who are an awesome queer punk band worth checking out) right after playing a show with them

The person that made the remark was their old tour manager (hes on the cover of the whirr/nothing split) and they have cut ties with him ever since that day.
