I enjoy it too but do feel that it is much weaker than the other two. Agree with Sean that they tried to cram too much in. Think Mrs Clays pregnancy and in laws would have been a good movie, and Jack Frost and the alternate time line would have been a great movie. Think they tied them together well but would have liked to do more with the alternate timeline as well and develop Jack Frost better.
My favorite part of the second Santa Clause was when Santa Clone said "You are a sad, strange little man." And that was a reference to Buzz Lightyear's comeback, who's also played by Tim Allen!
My ranking: 1. The Santa Clause (a Christmas classic that my family and I watch every Christmas season. Easily the best one. Never gets old) 2. The Santa Clause 2 (an okay sequel that’s bearable but not that rewatchable) 3. The Santa Clause 3: the Escape Clause (messy movie)
I used to love the 3rd one as a kid, and when my class did a Christmas binge of the series, I was really excited to watch it again... then I discovered it wasn’t so good
How I rank them: 3. Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause- so bad it’s funny, but I still watch it to laugh at it 2. Santa Clause 2- still pretty bad but at least it has some enjoyable things in it 1. The Santa Clause- by a long shot, my favorite. Hilarious and fun, all I need from a Christmas movie Great ranking, Sean 😁
I don't know, I actually really enjoyed the 3rd one. It might actually be my favorite.... I think it feels real, as far as Christmas's not always being perfect, how the stress of the holidays might cause you to do something you regret, and you kind of get " A wonderful Life" vibes by seeing what would have happened if Scott Calvin didn't become the Santa Clause. Also I thought Jack Frost was an enjoyable villain like character that was kind of working behind the scenes to ensure that their Christmas was a disaster.
Objectively speaking, you're ranking and reasoning is absolutely correct. Subjectively speaking, based on my own preferences, I love Santa Clause 3. And I still think you're right.
My ranking 1. The Santa Clause (B) I have a lot of fun with it and I watch it every year 2. The Santa Clause 2 (C) Pretty much agree with everything you said. I love the romance in it, but the evil clone stuff feels forced 3. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (D) I still find this movie watchable even though it's bad. Guilty pleasure for me, like Jingle all the Way Also, loved the new Christmas theme music
I try to watch the first two Santa Clause movies every year on Christmas and ignore the dumpster fire of the third movie. The one thing that truly bothered me about the third was the relationship between Scott and Charlie. I felt those two characters were the heart of the first film and you can still see that in the second film but was completely ignored in the third film.
It just gets worse as it goes. To rank them. 3. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause 2. The Santa Clause 2 1. The Santa Clause. The first one’s good, and the second has a lot of the same good charm, with a great love story, but Plastic Santa is awful. Martin Short is the only good thing about 3.
The reason the Santa clause 3 is so complicated it was intentional the main thing about the film is chaos it’s supposed to be chaotic to give you a tense feel the enjoy the film at its fullest
When I was young the third one was my favorite but now i see all the problems with it With that said if i had to pick one to watch this christmas it’s the third one no hesitation
I think there is a way where you can do 4 different plot lines and combine them together in a really creative way, but if you don't find a way to make them work together and develop them all thoroughly, you end up with a big mess.
I think I would put the first at the top, the third one will I couldn't decide if the second or third one belong on number 2. Now I finally think the second one should be number 2 and the third will be last I love all of the movies. The first one is my favorite though it always made me laugh I just love Tim's humor, Bernard's sassy and bossy personality and Charlie's kindness feelings and belief for Christmas and Santa. 1. The Santa Clause 2. The Santa Clause 2 3. The Santa Clause 3
@SeanChandlerTalksAbout I can’t wait to see your ranking of The Grinch movies the one with Jim Carrey and the original 2D animated cartoon and the CGI animated one that came out two years ago.
Great ranking!! With any review or ranking you do I might disagree with one or 2 things (guardians 2 lol). But with this I agree with you 100%! And I really dig the intro jingle!
First ones the best one of course. The second one I remember going to see in the theater when I was 5, The third I remember watching thinking it was alright but it of course didn’t have that same spark that the first or even the second one had. I’ve seen the third a couple times but haven’t watched it since 2007 (but I wasn’t ever really tuned in it was just something that was “on”). Something that I feel isn’t talked about enough is how there’s a tonal shift between the first and the second. Mainly because they went from a PG to a G. The original script for the first was a lot darker. It was written by two comics and the original plot was he shot Santa off the roof. Allen thought that was funny but Katzenberg who was running Disney at the time was like “we can’t start a movie like that”.
If Santa had to have a Mrs Clause as stated in The Santa Clause 2, what happened to the Mrs Clauses of the Santa Clause that Tim Allen killed in the Santa Clause 1?
Dude their supposed to be for kids, there’s many of stupid flaws in these movies, but when I was a kid I loved these movies without realizing any of the flaws.
1. The Santa Clause 2. The Santa Clause 2 3. The Santa Clause 3 I definitely agree that the court proceedings were a bit much in the first one, but he grows as a person and Tim Allen carries the movie (wait, what happened to Mrs. Clause?? :P). And yes, the second one’s A plot about him finding a wife is always better than the contrived B plot with the evil plastic Santa.
Will you rank the Office Christmas episodes?
Yes. Rewatched them Sunday night and my notes are all written
I think it’s on my schedule for next Monday
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout can you rank national lampoon vacations???
@@SeanChandlerTalksAbout Cool
It’s on my mind. But no time frame

How did you like the new version of my theme song and the Christmas theme?
It's really awesome!
its great
Perfection!

Great
Santa Clause 3 was actually my favorite when I was younger. It's vastly entertaining....for better or worse.
Enjoyed it too was better than Part 2

I’m 18 and my brother is 24, but the original Santa Clause is still our favorite Christmas movie.
I starting watching them last week and I thought “I wish Sean would rank them” 😂😂
Yeah same, now I'm only waiting for him to rank all of the Boy Meets World seasons.

These films were so great, loved them, Santa 2 was best for me!
Tim Allen did a great job playing Scott Calvin/ Santa. He’s hilarious!

3 is a bit of a stretch, but 1 is the best without a doubt
Iron Man 3
Die Hard
Mickey's a Christmas Carol

Bad Santa

This may be one of those few times where nobody can argue with your opinion

Yes
*If the first Santa Clause doesn't get #1, Tim Allen is going to go all Buzz Lightyear on Sean!*
You should do a ranking of the best Christmas movies: (i.e.) The Santa Clause, Elf, A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation.
I considered saving this to show my kids, since Santa Clause came up at youth group on Friday, but they still haven't seen it.
I love that Christmas Intro. Also I’ve only seen the first of the trilogy
Love the new little edits you have been making in your videos. Keep up the good work!👍👌
