thanks sir for ur consideration n sharing the info... god bless u... now question is this... 1) as u told regarding the connection to create the master we need to power on the switch once its boot up procees complete connect the standby switch and power on than member than next member.. so. on... so do we need to just power on step by step or else we also need to connect cable physically step by step ?? we can create the physical topology ready and than power on the switch step by step ? ryt ?? 2) what if master gets fail standby switch will take the control so what about configuration all the configuration of master switch will be transfered to standby switch automatically ?? what about end host only those end host will be affected or all the end host will be affected which are connected to switch in case of master switch failure ??
Thanks for the watching you can configure Switch priorities as i told about the priorities its very easy to configure and when it will go down standby will be the master and when you will bring back the master the DR master will go back to stand by but it will required restart the devices thanks
Hi, thanks for the explaination. just a question on the stacking failover. if the standby switch(switch 2) take over the session during the event that the active switch(switch 1) is having power failure, what will happen when the switch 1 is back online?
