Happy New year! In Iceland, there are no regulations on fireworks. Anyone can buy as much as one likes and shoot them up wherever you like. Pretty crazy culture. I tried my best to capture this with the drone, but I felt like it couldn't really grasp the insane amount there is. (I was also always slightly worried that my Mavic 2 Pro would get hit lol). Also, the weather was not the best, unfortunately, a littlet rain and bad visibility.
Damn! You must be extremely brave to fly your expensive drone into the sky filled with exploding fireworks! If one of of the firework hits your drone it would have been horrible. I truely appreciate your bravery and sacrifice to get one of the best footage I've ever seen. It's safe to say that it's the best video so far,of this decade.

Thank you! I took off a bit away from the fireworks then I was cautious to stay above or to the side 🙈 it came out great for sure! But was a little stressed for sure, there were flying bombs all around my drone lol

I was there when this happened. We were with a large group of friends and when we returned from the huge bonfire 🔥 we saw fireworks and we rushed to get the fireworks for us to launch and firecrackers. It’s also crazy in the middle of the day when people are doing it early too.

Yes :( my friend has a dog and they take it to his grandpa on the country side every new year, she gets so scared.
Tbh I'm for this getting banned/regulated. It's strange to me to srart the new year on something that pollutes this much + all the garbage it produceses.
But it's part of colture and ppl get uppset when I tell them my opinion. It looks cool tho and it is kinda awesome, so while it's still around I'll be filming and photographing. I don't blow up anythin myself.
