To gregg and family, thank you for the hospitality, and friendship, and for the work you always did on my boards, still riding them. I painted your house! And still have have the t shirt you gave me, and i still wear it, always reminds me of excellent quality and friendship. Thank you Gregg and family.
Gregg Martz and Bruce Jones, man oh man, that was an insane combo 💥🔥💜
Much respect for the way he talked about his son.🤘🏼
wish this was longer
Very sweet place. Great to see that what you created will continue on!🙏🏼😎
I love building boards but it is definitely not good for your health and this video supports that assertion. Respect the craftsmanship and hope he and the others in this industry don't get sick from it.
Watermans guild is one of the best, if not the best, glass factories that I've ever worked with back in 1998. The old man was strict, but super cool. And I love those guys.
really better than jack reeves ?
Great glasses
GREG IS THE FUNNIEST DUDE EVER …..and one hell of a builder !!!!!!!!
It's on my to do list to make my own surfboard (obviously with help from a shaper). Great vid.
I can.t get rid ov the ads
Surfs up Gregg
ALL AMERICAN SURFERS......BLESSINGS MARTXO.....TOMMY THOMPSON HAWAII 1970-1978.....MARTOSSSS!!
Nice
The lams were rad in the 80’s. The barracuda, dolphin, and finger print.
I have worked with several shapers over the 45 + yrs of surfing, my all time favorite was Larry Gordon, now in Heaven with the Lord...Next to him is Ethan Shaw of ShawSurfboard.weebly.com. in San Diego, CA. He is a really nice guy, wise and humble. He is willing to listen and accept input, and helpful suggestions alike. He’s building me a new big wave gun for anything over 3-4 ft.
Glassing sucks I find it hard to like but everyone has their own thing
i fkn love it.. my favourite part of boardbuilding!
I am not the best glasser. But the other stuff makes me hopeful. I steal color ideas and do my best to emulate them.
Is it just me, I am all for being confident in your skills and being proud of your skills. But this Owner seems really arrogant and prideful. I don’t think I would want to do business with him. “After a 100k boards...I’m done” really..? Thats just arrogance. JMHO..
the guy glassed over 100,000 surfboards, i think he has earned the right to be a little arrogant and not glass any more surfboards if he doesn't want too!
This guy looked for and is surrounded by top dogs in the game, who likely heckle and push each other to be better all the time. When you reach the upper limits of what is possible and your corrections become borderline inconsequential, you probably develop an ego. Im sure you would want to take a break from inhaling fumes and doing laps on a strict time limit when youre in your late 60s....
