If this doesn’t work, try going into your chrome setting>advanced settings>proxy settings and disable the active proxy (sometimes VPN can be a problem)

That totally worked on my Mac! I couldn't access any web pages on chrome but could on edge. This is quit possibly the first CZcams video that has fixed an error on my first try! Thank you!

I did this with mine but i dont think i have the exact same problem. It just loads forever instead of telling me theres no connection. This solution didnt work for me. Maybe you have a suggestion.

What was the problem?
I was trying to fix this problem for a month!. I followed your instructions and voila. it was fixed. I don't know why it works!!
It didn't work. I disabled the Quic Protocol and relaunched the browser does anyone know anything else I could do?
Finally a simple solution! Chrome would not connect after a comcast outage, all other browsers, and my iphone and ipad, were connected through my router, so it was definitely a chrome problem. Why does this happen?

!Help! I can’t open chrome, I have the same problem but I can’t open it! When I point my mouse on chrome it says “access the internet” but my internet is fine and I can go to any other browser! I want to install google chrome, but it says "unable to connect to internet if you use a firewall, please whitelist googleupdate.exe
i tried a lot of times but still nothing, also there is no "googleupdate.exe" on firewall...

If I enable wifi hotspot on my cell phone, Chrome on my win10 could not connect. If I use USB cable to connect cell phone to win10, and use USB to share internet, then Chrome on win10 could connect. It has bugged me for some time, as using USB to charge phone is much slower. Thanks a lot for your solution.

It doesn’t work, CZcams wasn’t affected by whatever is stopping you from getting on other websites. You can see CZcams is the only site he checked it on to see it if was working but he tried no other sites
