LYRICS
Lloyd Boyd was conspiranoid
barking chem trails in the skies
Claiming Bill Gates had put microchips
in the chicken pot pies
Launching himself in his lawn chair
proving the earth was flat
Microwaving his burritos now he
always wears his tin foil hat
Conspiranoia
Marion Barrion Contrarian
felt Dr. Tony was selling her lies
So to keep from getting the big bad flu she sprinkled cat urine into her eyes
With garlic cloves in her nostrils
and dryer sheets taped to her head
Marion Barrion Contrarian
is now stinking up a hospital bed
Conspiranoia
Can lead a horse to water
but you cannot make him drink
You can guide a fool towards logic
but you’ll rarely make him think
Be weary of Conspiranoia
As purveyors, abound
For an open mind too open
spills it’s contents on the ground
Conspiranoia - Hudba
Les Claypool was my dad's favorite bass player. He showed me Too many puppies song when i was around 5. We would jam out to Primus together and have fun. This was released on the day he died. 1 year ago exactly. May God rest my dad's soul. Love you dad. Thank you to anyone who read this, may God bless you ,and take care .

Primus used to get inspiration fron surrealism and cartoons to bring us some wicked characters. It turns out they don’t need fiction to scare us anymore.
“You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink. You can guide a fool towards logic, but you rarely make him think” Simply immaculate
I mean it is a good knows how old expression, I am in total agreement with the sentiment, but I don't think that this particular one deserves his credit.
Roy Harper's song Hors d'Oeuvres, from the album Stormcock 1971 paraphrases it too. It is a great line, and this is a great song; my first time of hearing it. I am a very recent fan of Claypool and just absorbing everything on YT that I can.

YES! I LOVE how the part when he says "spills its contents on the ground" the snare roll goes on way longer than you feel it should. That's my favorite part. IMO, musicians don't play with time enough. yes there's tension and release between notes/chords, dynamics in loud/quiet, clean/distorted, tempo/time signature changes, etc but not enough people build and release tension by making you wait uncomfortable periods of time before they stick the landing you thought was going to happen 7 beats ago. I live for that shit. It feels good.

The worst part about conspiracies is that for every "Aliens control the government" and every "They're putting microchips in vaccines" you get a "Tuskegee Syphilis Study" or an "Operation Ocean Spray" or the ever classic "MK Ultra"
Original mk ultra stuff was unhinged, but notice how there was SOME truth to it... 🤔 just sayin
@@bodo8311 mkultra was real. They were dosing people with lsd, sometimes not, and attempting to cause extreme distress, humiliation, extreme comfort, repeatedly playing music, etc. They thought they could brainwash people to get confessions or info a suspect isnt willing to give. The fact they threw MKUltra into the list discredits their message. It was a real event that had real impacts; some resulting in people's death.
Not really. Conspiracy theories aren't based on anything more than a hunch or perhaps even psyop misinformation . Real conspiracies have evidence. It's annoying too because misinformation campaigns help allow actual conspiracies like Tuskegee. Please don't conflate the two.

"We were keeping our eye on 1984. When the year came and the prophecy didn't, thoughtful Americans sang softly in praise of themselves. The roots of liberal democracy had held. Wherever else the terror had happened, we, at least, had not been visited by Orwellian nightmares.
"But we had forgotten that alongside Orwell's dark vision, there was another - slightly older, slightly less well known, equally chilling: Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Contrary to common belief even among the educated, Huxley and Orwell did not prophesy the same thing. Orwell warns that we will be overcome by an externally imposed oppression. But in Huxley's vision, no Big Brother is required to deprive people of their autonomy, maturity and history. As he saw it, people will come to love their oppression, to adore the technologies that undo their capacities to think.
"What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one. Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism. Orwell feared that the truth would be concealed from us. Huxley feared the truth would be drowned in a sea of irrelevance. Orwell feared we would become a captive culture. Huxley feared we would become a trivial culture, preoccupied with some equivalent of the feelies, the orgy porgy, and the centrifugal bumblepuppy. As Huxley remarked in Brave New World Revisited, the civil libertarians and rationalists who are ever on the alert to oppose tyranny "failed to take into account man's almost infinite appetite for distractions." In 1984, Orwell added, people are controlled by inflicting pain. In Brave New World, they are controlled by inflicting pleasure. In short, Orwell feared that what we fear will ruin us. Huxley feared that what we desire will ruin us.

Some people just love their government-approved k-12 propaganda courses. So much so they continue to go through the meat grinder for another decade.
OH man, this sounds pretty nice!. It is the perfect mixture of RushPinkFloydKingCrimsoness that is so Primus. Good job boys! I will be listening to the on 4/22!
@Herb Wildey....me too! It's gonna rock! I live here in CR...where you comin from? Have you been to this venue before?
And it was grand!!
I was shown this song on the weekend, the first thing that came to my head was the feeling of amazement that I felt first time listening to King Crimson, I stand by my previous comment, best track Ive heard from our planet this century, its just so right for now too, Its also perfectly not too cryptic for those not so receptive to the problems of conspiranoia without the introspect to see it but not be able to see that. As an synth nerd that epic fat thick fm stab is butter and the mono analogue moogy sounding solo is just so perfect, the whole break slow verse come in time signature giving that theme, I cant get enough of this!
HOWD I MISS THIS... NO I WAS JUST LIVING IT
Once again, Primus pulls a rabbit out of the hat. I really like this trick. And I get to jam to this on my Birthday too. It's a win win situation.
Happy birthday dude ! Hope you're fine =}
Was my birthday too!!!
Happy belated birthday James and Chris, hope you had a great birthday. This is a great song, isn't it? Let me pass on some of my "wisdom" as an ageing and past it old creaky rocker, remember growing old is compulsory but growing up is entirely optional. Cheers guys 🍻
Happy belated bro
@@liamblack8786 Thanks man, I appreciate it.
Clutch last night and Primus today! It's hard to get much better!
RED ALERT! ALL YOUR FAVORITE BANDS ARE DROPPING BOSS TRACKS!
Only thing better would be if Clutch was touring with Primus!
This Yr is turning into a great Yr, for new Releases from great bands!
@Bradley Dunn I saw CLUTCH open for PRIMUS in Charlotte in July 2017. It was everything one could've hoped for and more.
@@TheBaconStrip saw em at stage AE in Pittsburgh that same tour. It was indeed amazing!
Im hooked on this song. Love it
This a badass song
How many topics can we fit into a song?
Primus: Yes.
We got skinwalkers and gay frogs for sure. Gonna have to watch again and re read that whole list now lol

Absolutely loved this.. When it goes into
Conspiranoia chorus the music reminds me of Pink Floyd.. You guys still Rock F’ing ABC.. Long time fan here. PRIMUS Rocks.. Perfect Tripping Music.. 🤟 🍄
Oh yeah man...super Floydy
A long time Primus fan and you say Primus rocks and not Primus sucks?
@@throwawaymusicchannel7044 well...they dropped that phrase over 25 years ago... I mean. Fair 😅
@@throwawaymusicchannel7044 I shifted from sucks to rocks some time ago man
I said it sounds like have a cigar
Come in here dear boy, have a cigar, you’re gonna go far
You're never gonna die...
I told myself in 2002 they were my favourite band of all time. That top spot hasn't budged a fucking inch. Cheers for signing my bass, Les.
Someone wrote "Primus is like tool but fun" in the comments one time. I thought that was spot on.
Tool for hillbillies. ;)
@@cjslox I live in ohio and if you go to a tool show here you will find mostly hillbillies lol.
That's always been my take as well. They're like a pink Floyd / tool mashup in this song. Love those funky blues guitar solos!
Tool's drummer filled in on drums during a tour not long ago. He pretty much played the songs the same way
I will now forever think of Primus as "Happy Tool" and Tool as "Dark Primus"....
This is brilliant, everything I love about primus in a song. Need more of this in my life.
Primus in the 90's: Mud burying someone.
Primus Now: Someone burying Mud.
💀💀💀
Love you Primus, you blew my mind when you opened for Rush in your pajamas, I had never heard of you guys became an instant fan. Love this song lyrics are dope af love the 11 minute adventure.
Sir, you got your claypool delirium all over my primus! (Love it)

Based primus
Was not expecting a new Primus song but damn this is awesome! I love this trippier sound.
Like early Pink Floyd
Reminds me of Lennon Claypool Delerium stuff. Although also Desaturating Seven. Pretty sure there's a keyboard on there. Feels like it's time for a new Primus album.
I'm getting a mix between the compositional approach of Naughahyde and the sound of Anti-Pop.
@@brandenp1944 yessir…FACTS
@@brutalmass9254 except this is embarrassing. They are trying to shame critical thinkers. They are sell outs
I love how Primus can be way more engaging, psychedelic, proggy, and wild than a highly acclaimed band such as Tool. Seriously no one from the '90s can get close to Primus' uniqueness. Plus, they don't take themselves even seriously while kicking ass. This song is truly something that will stand up the test of time.
Umm Tool is a different Beast, both are benchmark in their right....highly acclaimed for a reason 👊🏾
yo I definitely hear Christopher Squire in his playing, even more so on this than any of his older material
Tool and primus are both S tier too me son and many others
Tool exists, so does Primus. They are fundamental for my earbuds. Even when some of their lyrics do not mesh with my own conspiranoia.
Did you really just say that Primus is better than Tool? Get fucked. Tool is objectively better by a longshot
I love this!!!!!!
This song aged like milk.
this video is making the freaking frogs even GAYER
Lol
Good for them.
Arguably one of their best pieces of music, definitely the most technical, absolutely adore the progyness of this and definitely gonna cream if the whole EP is this good
Saw Primus back in 1991 in Calamity Janes, Las Vegas..
Amazing then..
Amazing now .
Thank you 💪❤
Just listened to the signals album from rush, now listening to this. Despite how different they are, you can definitely hear some rush in here
