  • In January of 2023, I traveled to Holguin Province in the southern part of Cuba. My primary purpose of travel was for a family wedding, but of course I also used the time to do some birding ;)
Join me on my first ever birding experience outside of Canada. Many of the birds I saw in Cuba were lifers- birds I'd never photographed before, which is always exciting for a birder!
The next part of the series will be released in a few weeks- I am currently focused on releasing videos from this spring as well as catching up with my projects from last summer.

I do but not in Cuba. I didn't bring binoculars and I didn't have phone data so that made it tough in the field.

I am going to Cuba @ iberostar also. I want to bring my camera, I was planning to put my camera in my camera bag with the lens and everything else I need. Do I need to prepare anything or any paperwork ready for when I get to security in Cuba? Thanks BeN

Paperwork no. Do not bring a drone to Cuba (you can get paperwork for drones in Dominican Republic). They did ask me to take every single electronic device (cords, chargers, batteries, lenses) out of my bag, which was no fun. Try to only bring a minimal amount of gear (unlike me) lol.
