This sounds great, and I intend to copy it as closely as possible for myself. Before I get started on an analysis, I'm wondering: is the difference heard here a product of your your unique approach to the song, or have you applied the unique tuning that you have talked about rather than using a standard diatonic harmonica? @@willharmonicawilde

I saw Little Water in 1958 and 1962 and I got to sit down with him in 1962 and talk a little bit about muddy & harps I’ve been blowing harp also Little Water style but man you got the style you got the feeling you got little Walters Feeling 😎

I met Tom Swan in the 70's. He was one of the producers for Little Walter. He told me that to get that special sound, Walter played with a toilet bowl placed upside down over his head! Well, his head went in the bowl just enough to allow his hands to hold the harp! Also, an American toilet bowl is a bit larger than those in Europe!
I don't know where the mike was, maybe he held it in his hands.

I wanted to see how close I could get to the classic 50's Chicago blues sound. I'm using a 7 watt valve amp here with an oval speaker (it's actually an extension speaker from an old record player) I think it sounds pretty close!
The other key element, of course is mic chosen. SM 57/58 or ?. But whatever. THE key element is you and the level you've reached in your consummate skills over the whole range of our amazing little instrument. And, in addition to what you exhibit in your own stylings your keen, near scholarly, interest, understanding, appreciation and spot on emulation of the styles of the greats for our development and enjoyment. There is quite a range of top level harp players out there today, but IMHO, combining and sharing all these qualities as you do, puts you in really special place. Thanks, mate!
