Good for complete beginners, overview of jQuery was given, do not expect all the details in 1 hr. But in 1 hr what harry has covered is commendable. more power to you harry.

fadeIn works on items which has display:none,
fadeOut works on visible items,
fadeToggle is same as toggle(toggle between fadeIn and fadeOut),
fadeTo ,makes opacity of an item to some value(0 to 1 we can set).
For coding example refer w3 school.

The toggleClass function toggles between the classes name in the element
.If the class passed in the function already exists for that element, it removes that class [which is already there]
else , [not there] it will add the class name to that element selected the function....

fadeOut: hide the content in given time with fading(decrement in opacity),
fadeIn: unhide the content in given time with fading(increment in opacity),
fadetoggle: switch between hide/unhide in given time with fading(increment/decrement in opacity),
fadeTo: change in opacity-value of the content with given specific value opacity in given time (syntax => $('p').fadeTo(1000(time), 0.5(opacity), function).
Helpful for me, since I was new to jQuery.. and now confident after watching this.

toggleClass function is a function which basically do the work of both add n remove ------------
if one class class is added already , it will remove the class n viceversa .

toggleClass is used to remove a class if that class already exists in the selector element but if it doesn't exists then it just adds the class to the selector element

fadeTo() has 3 argument - speed, opacity, callback function
addClass() = add class
removeClass() = remove class
toggleClass() = add and remove class

toggleClass : it work as vice versa like we toggle a class "para" to a paragraph, then we use toggleClass and if it is present in the paragraph then it remove it from paragraph then if we again to toggleClass then it add again the class to the para.
