We live in an age of musical poverty in the church; modern songs lack melody and harmony, and have weak lyrics. And, sadly, when the hymns are sung, they are almost always subjugated to rhythm, not melody and harmony. Thankfully this lovely choir avoids all these traps!!!!

I concur, though it isn't necessarily harmony they lack, but the Spirit. The noises they make draw people in for a dopamine release, rather than comfort and piece and hymns are supposed to bring. They say, "This good feeling is the Holy Spirit," and if that were true, then He is inspiring me when I rev a V8 engine in a highway tunnel. There's no sin in the music itself, but there is in replacing the Holy Spirit.

I have sung and heard this great hymn many, many times, and this is the most perfect, God-like rendition I have ever experienced. Why? This is not a chorus of hundreds nor is there accompaniment by a full orchestra or organ. It is so beautiful because the love and joy of God is evident on every face. This is not mere singing but joyful worship. May God continue to richly bless each and everyone of you!
