I've been there 3 times and still want to go again and again and again. It is waaay more beautiful than in the video. You forget about everything, you just watch and listen to the beautiful nature and enjoy. It is a must see :)

Went there just last week , its beautiful , but be prepared to queue for ages both inside and outside . Like I say beautiful , one of the best places I've ever seen , but it gets very busy .
Steve is right this place is beautiful. We spent over six hours there.

i was in croatia only for a short time... i flew from vienna to zagreb awaiting transportation to slovenia......I am going to take the time to visit Croatia in its entirety very soon

If u're visiting Croatia this is the place you definitely don't want to miss.
The best time for visiting is early spring(lots and lots and lots of water) or autumn (breathtaking colors). There is not so much visitors in spring or autumn.
Visiting in July or at the beginning of August is not very good idea because the place is crowded then. You can barely see anything and, trust me, queues and rude, nervous people are not what Plitvice Lakes should be remembered by :)

another natural wonder...why fly to Mars, there is so much to discover on this earth...
Be prepared to do alot of walking. This park is huge. This video showed the shortest and least expensive self tour of the park. 2-3 hours on foot. This tour is not senior citizen friendly or people with handicaps and if you have young children be careful because the parks highest parts have no high walls or fences to keep the little ones from going over.a cliff. They only have a basic 2 x 4 fence .

Why would we swimm in world's biggest natural wonder? People are coming here to watch the beauty, not to swimm.
