"No one can hurt you now" I felt that because a couple years ago when I was 14 I was so alone and I had been sexually abused and I rode my bike to a bridge about a mile up the road parked it and jumped off. the water turned I out to be shallow and so I didn't drown I just ended up crying on the bank after a while I went home and just lied like I feel off the bank I'll never forget those nights of hell and how no one was there to help. But after a couple years I found friends and I feel a lot better I still have my bad days but I believe I can push through. So to all those who feel alone I have this to say it'll be alright just keep going don't give up seek help and pls don't so nothing stupid. Bad things happen bad ppl happen but just keep trying pls. My love goes to all have a nice day:)💎💍👉👤💎

You know, a lot of people say they like the covers better.. and yes, some of them are REALLY good, but the only thing that keeps me loyal to the original would be.. the raw, shakiness in her voice. It's like.. pure emotion. I really just LOVE the shakiness, and slight breathiness in her voice so much. That's what makes it stand out from all the covers.

I listen to this when I try to go to bed. I lay on my back, lace my fingers on my chest and close my eyes, and then the scenario comes. I'm lying in my coffin, as people pass by and tears drip down their faces. Then in the middle, my friends come up to me when they are about to lower the casket, and kiss my coffin. the top part is a strong glass, so they may see it, and when I'm being lowered, the last parts of the song come up. When I'm being burried, it ends, and my eyes open. Then I have tears in my eyes.
This song hits me different cus I have an older sister who had to be strong for me like Katniss and she always used to play this for me ever since I was little. It was a small comfort and one of the only things that made me feel safe in times when we only had each other. I was gentle and sensitive like Prim and often found the cruelness of the world we lived in impossible to bear, but my sister has been with me, always. Nowadays, she’s the one who finds herself jaded and hopeless, but I’m always there when I can be to remind her of what’s important :’)
she doesn't only sing about relationships, but she is passionate about love. nothing wrong with that. she has an amazing writing ability and she sings beautifully.

Oh boy. Why Suzanne Collins, why kill all those people we loved?? I haven't listened to this song in so long but after Mockingjay Part 2 it was definitely necessary to come back to it. After the first movie people were all like "It's just for Rue!" But I'm pretty sure all of us book fans knew this song was gonna be the song for all the characters lost along the way :'( And I also think it's for the survivors, Katniss and Peeta especially, because they of course have to find peace as well.
Everytime when she is singing : "just close your eyes..." I do it and it is a incredible feeling <3
