I’ve been carrying the Compact as EDC.. the weight is amazing in my pocket and the features is more than enough for my EDC
I've been carrying my Hunter Pro every day for a little over a year now and find it to be a very useful and well built tool.
It looks very nice too. It was my first time seeing it in this video
Same here, I carried one for a while as EDC (still sometimes in pocket) and it's really a beast of a knife if you're not afraid of heavy stuff plus the blade is gorgeous. Definitely one of my fav and a really underrated piece 😎
As a Swiss I have a red one for 30yrs, nice patina but fully functional. 2 small ones with different tools edc for ~10yrs. It’s the most robust object I can imagine
@@Tristandebernardi It's possible you're thinking of a different model, the Pro Hunter has only been around since 2013.
@@Tristandebernardimay I know which one do you use I am planning to buy my father one for his birthday
Very informative and no fluff or people in the shots. I like them all.. I may get that smaller one with the light and pen, that’s pretty neat. I EDC a 1995 Leatherman Tool so I’m spoiled already.
I have 14 SAK knives. My EDC is still the Champ. With a small pocket clip attached to it I don’t even know it’s in my pocket. The possibilities are endless with the ole champ.
I have the black one. Just amazing, the quality of it is 10/10 and looks sick
I carry an SD on my keychain, but for general use the Pioneer X and Farmer X are my favorite combination of size and tools for EDC.
A few things, as a SAK enthusiast:
1. Instead of the Signature Lite I recommend the Midnite Manager which adds a combotool (bottle opener, small and very useful Phillips screwdriver and wirestripper) to it as well AND the knifeblade opens on the opposite side so the keychain itself doesn't get in the way.
2. I would have also added the Compact and the Climber to the list, and for the Alox fans the Pioneer X and the Cadet.
Oh and:
1. On the Swiss Army 7 Alox you totally forgot to mention the woodsaw (which only makes it a good EDC option in the outdoors, not so much in an urban environment)
2. The Replica 1897 is a collectors' piece, too expensive for practical wear & tear.
That’s pretty much my entire collection! Nice picks.

How can I make Classic SD fit in Altoids small tin ?
It's only slightly bigger
I carry an old 111mm Picknicker i restored. It’s great and love the old blade lock system.
My favorites are the Compact for EDC and the Spirit (and maybe the Trailmaster) for the bug out bag. When i use my bike i already have pliers and a bike multitool for bike repairs plus the Compact in my pants so i skip the Spirit and add a Farmer (or the Trailmaster) for the saw and a bit more robust blade as backup.
Excelentes todas las navajas, yo tengo esa Swiss Card, me encantaría tener todos esos modelos..!! Excelente video..!!
I go back and forth between the Farmer and the Hiker. Good mix of tools that will handle 95% of urban EDC duties, and serve equally well on outdoors adventures, with no unnecessary bulk. As far as I'm concerned, once a SAK is too big to comfortably fit in ones pocket it has jumped the shark... you may as well be packing a Leatherman or a fixed blade.
You know you've got a problem when you've got 4 out of the 7 you chose 😂
I also have to say the nail clip 580 is an awsome urban EDC addition
What problem? You sir make wise choices in life 😊
You forgot to show the wood saw on the swiss army 7. You did mentioned it, but did not show it
Swischamp kick ass
My daily EDC driver is the Victorinox Spartan, the direct descendant of the 1897. All the essential tools in a compact pocketable size.
Even though the Ranger 55 grip loos amazing, I gravitate towards the Forester M... the one-handed main blade makes it quite handy.
Instead of the Alox 7, I'd go for the Pioneer X.
Very nice >>>>>>> Thank you .
Did you not know that on the Ranger Grip 55 to unlock the main blade all you do is push the shield logo?? Holy shit man?!!?
Once I found a classic sd on the side of the road. It became my companion for years. And then one day it got lost. So I wanted to buy another one. I looked on all models and bought a Rambler, which are not for sale anymore as far as I know. It's a classic but with a Philips screwdriver and a bottle cap opener. I love it! It's with me every day for over 20 years. Recently I thought about replacing it with the aluminum mini champ. But it doesn't add anything useful for me and I would miss the toothpick and tweezers. So Rambler it is.
One day, some lucky individual will find your lost classic sd.
3:46 If you open the file, you can get some additional support. It makes the pen longer, much more comfortable tonwrite with.

I just ❤🤍 SWISS🇨🇭 knives🗡 & ❤🤍💙 all your videos mate👍
Even the Classic SD covers most everyday tasks. But I don’t think it’s overkill enough for most knife enthusiasts. Weighing less than 1 Oz is awesome.
I typically keep mine attached to my keys using fishing lure snap lock so it’s easier to take off and on
The knife only Hunter Pro looks sexy af
Preach the toothpick going missing thing
Classic SD is the Most Original from them I love it
Surely the spartan came before?
i use the elox, but a thin version .. big blade, pruining blade and a punch on the back .. my go to electrition blade for 25 years+
I own the first three. The toothpick is my most used tool along with the blade which is the only reason why the signature lite isn't my main carry on knife (I keep it in the car). I replaced the tweezers on the card with a toothpick and I keep it in my wallet. I keep the classic on my keychain. I have a much larger knife that I keep in my car or my daily bag depending on where my Leatherman Free P2 is at the time.
New video- like immediately 👍
Instead of the 55 Grip, I have a 79 Grip. They have the same tools, but the 79 has one hand open blade, and it's cheaper. Sure the 55 is black and is cooler, but for double the price (at least here in Canada), I don't see the worth over the 79.
The midnite manager (could be the lite version as well) takes over the signature any day, the combo tool is quite useful, and practically the same size.
by the time the video came out, the Evoke line was already in the market, so I'd go for the Evoke (all black) instead of the Hunter Pro because of the one hand access.
And the 1897 replica for EDC? ... I don't know...
Swiss card nailcare is a new and better option as complies with travel regulations not having a fixed blade knife.
exactly. Therefore, I always have one in my wallet.
Although, I had the first "standard" version in the past and I flew with it twice because I forgot to take it out. I'm wondering that no one said anything. That also happened to me once with the small classic sd. But hey, I was just lucky and won't risk it anymore. It would break my heart to throw away a victorinox on the airport :D. I think the officers didn't consider me as dangerous because of my business outfit :D.
The Hunter-Pro was the knife that OJ used in the double homicide. Victorinox had sent him two to see as they were looking to have him be a spokesperson. A little-known fact.
Who gives a shit? Except if Victorinox sent them on purpose, this fact has absolutely no pertinence.
@@DavidChurcheese OJ used cereal killer knife get your facts straight sir
Incorrect.
A wood saw? Where? 8:57
DeLuxe Tinker
I just EDC a Swiss Champ
It's gonna be in a bag anyway, I need my pockets and I have a belt mounted pouch if needed.
The UK cant get any of the bigger knives you showed as the blades are over 3 inches and they lock which are illegal to carry.
Unfortunately two of these are illegal as edc in the UK
Onyx is awesome. But no Phillips head?
It is very sad not to have the option of a philips screwdriver instead of a corkscrew.
Victorinox compact bro
To bad that the actual swiss army knife is not included, though it's the best in my mind.
Sometimes not an easy choice. Prefer Outrider for outdoors and Explorer, with added pen and pin, for urban „adventures“.
I cant believe the 1897 replica cost 500 dollars wow!!!!! First i have seen it I'm a bit shocked
@9.20 the big knife name/model? thx!
victorinox hunter pro alox
@@PineappleElephant68 thx
I'm really surprised you didn't suggest a 58mm model with the multi function phillips/cap lifter !
The battery isn't a "389 dash 390 battery” it's a number 389 OR number 390 battery.
I LOVE the SAK 7 Alox 😆
That pruning blade is fantastic for Bushcraft.
The 4" blade isn't "matted", that's what happens to animal fur and isnt a word related to metalwork.
The blade has a matte finish.
That Ranger grip 55 Onyx is the knife Zaphod Beeblebrox would buy to match Disaster Areas "Galactic Hyperhearse" lol 😲
Yes, I have Asperger's 😩
This is the Victorinox Evoke Pro Allox , not the Hunter Pro that has a rather prominent "eye hole" on the blade for one hand opening....
Waiter! Had so many, waiter is the choice.
A former coworker of mine from Switzerland showed me his Wenger Swiss Army knife issued him by his country's military. It wasn't even red.
There is a Swiss Army multitool. Good for EDC.
dude, use a de-esser
Interesting choices...
You included two 58 mm models, but the most common 84 & 91 mm models are only represented by an expensive collector's piece that hardly has any useful features nowadays? (No small driver, no scale tools, no mini driver for the cork screw, no bottle opener, unusable can opener... even the blade is smaller than the modern 91 mm.) I like that knife, but not as a "best fror EDC" for sure.
Note that the replica knife has a true corkscrew, not a gimlet, which is a spiral wound 'wire'. Unfortunately, the corkscrew is an inherently inferior design to the gimlet, which is less likely to break an old cork and pull out, resulting in a situation that can be difficult and even embarrassing to resolve.
I mostly use the corkscrews for undoing tough knots
What about the saw on the swiss army 7? You forgot it 😂
I wonder how many times you pronounced the letter s/z during this video 🙄🤔 😂😂
Is it illegal to carry a swiss army knife?
It depends on where you live i think you can google it
👍👍👍
Im 12 and its illegal in uk so im going to wait 6 yrs cuz i had one back where i was born but not mine anymore
I really hate their limited editions. The prices are just absolutely ridiculous for what you’re getting.
It’s Vick Tore Uh Knox not Victoria Knox.
One thing I've learned about knives is if it doesn't say the blade steel on the blade unless it's high end it's probably garbage.
🤩👍❤️🙂💯🔥😍
You just posted like 5 of the same knife ROFL, that makes this video lose a lot of credibility. Also where the hell is the Victorinox Rambler? Victorinox Manager? Victorinox Compact? And Pioneer Alox X beats out a lot of those in the vid.
crazy lisp
E.D.C. Not in Britain
Must be the WORST 7 for EDC..
Noch rambler, no tinker, no swisstool, no cadet... but all the expensive chunky crap
*stainless steel
Most recognizable? No. 🤨
