I put together a collection of mainline steam over the last 4 years from 2015 in their finest hours at some of my favourite lineside locations & stations.
All 4 regions of British Rail are well represented in this video The GWR, The Southern, The LMS & The LNER. Along with the BR standards.

Great collection. The drivers whistle 'on command' obviously, and some birdsong, too. Good to see the A4 'wriggling' along the rails in the first iteration. Why do I have an obsession with counting the coaches?
Interesting factoid: in every region of Britain a vintage railway is the second biggest attraction after the biggest mansion, eg Chatsworth, such is their huge, deserved popularity. No museum can compete. Where else in the world can one see such a regular variety of original locos, so many, so often??
i am just the same, i have been counting the coaches for years, normally it is 13 at the most11 average.

How do you keep up to date with the movements? I can't find anywhere to see when and where to see the locomotives moving
