I listened to this sermon 5 times as I've felt God want me to learn more. Thank you. It's what I needed to hear.
No this isn't a typical name & claim or some Joel Olsteen sermon but how to develop a deeper personal relationship with God.
Too many times in my life I've mistaken God blessings on me as my own abilities and failed miserably. It got to the point where I despised success because I feared my pride would take me away from God. Sounds stupid but that's man's logic. It's only recently I've learned God wants me to succeed because there are things he wants to teach me and allow me to grow in a relationship with him. Your sermon confirms what God has been telling me.
Success and blessing from God are not bad but its taken me a few decades to learn to keep my discipline and focus on Him.
Thanks for this sermon. Came here 2 years ago looking for the bad critics talk about. Listened to a lot of sermons. Haven't found it yet.

Today I cut two lawns came home and took a quick nap. I laid down and prayed for strengenth from the Lord . I woke after less than an hour refreshed. I went out and worked another 3 hours cutting grass and doing yard work. I will be 72 in September .I also do a delivery job and hold a janitor job at night . The Joy of the Lord is My Strength

My dream was to be an illustrator. My life fell apart over decades of time. God has held me together - Col 1:17. I ended up being a publisher but a man at my church needs cover designs for his two books. I now really have a desire to do watercolor. I am learning watercolor for those two illustrations. I just turned 73. I was 20 when I bought my drawing board & now that wonderful dream is coming back. I LOVE it!! Its totally thrilling to me!
Thank you Lord! Last year I had this dream that I was visiting my sister and Bro-in-law in another country. They live in a retirement village and during my visit I prayed for my bro and cast out the demon of Alzheimers from him and then prayed for renewed strength for him ,which he received. Then(still in the dream) one by one ,people from the village came knocking on the door and we prayed for everybody and everyone had their strength renewed, and later (still in the dream) as I walked around the grounds of the village I thought this is the way it should be. All that wealth of maturity and knowledge, renewed strength going out to work in the world again!. This afternoon I watched a video of Rodney Howard and he said He believed that the older folk would rise up and be renewed and be a force for today and now this evening I hear Bill saying the same thing! I'm 77 and I am just seeking the Lord constantly as I'm not ready to lie down and be old!

Thank you Bill Johnson for putting into words exactly what Papa is doing in my life. This began on 6/22/23, exactly seven months to the day after my husband went Home.
You see, you have been such a gift to me in leading me on this grief journey from the first message you spoke following the homecoming of your precious Beni. Little did I know, Papa was preparing my heart for the passing of my husband, Brad just a few months later.
Some of these “things” you speak of have been requested. Some just show up! Joy unspeakable and full of His Glory.

Such wisdom. Such gold. I was of course inspired by the eagle story and researched it only to find however, that it's not true. It's one of those long circulated internet fables that are represented as if true. I find that incredibly disappointing because it feels like betrayal when fiction is purported as fact. That is not to detract from anything Bill has been teaching us though. It is one of the reasons I love to listen to him because it seems to me he has such integrity and usually I don't feel the need to sift through what is muddy and what is truly inspired. Sorry to bring it up. I am no less grateful for his ministry. A bona fide father of the faith. Human, like all of us! Fallible like all of us. Nonetheless, trustworthy. Thank you for such precious teaching and paying the price to bring it to us. I/we are incredibly thankful.

I am one of those that are living in survival. I pray what I feel God would want me to pray for, and when I branch out, a little selfish even I feel incredible guilt. I had made a friend when I was practicing the occult. We bonded and connected not just over spiritual things but also we shared our deep hurts with one another. It was healing to me, and it was stollen from me because I began to get attacked my demons and God woke me up to the truth. I would love to be able to go back and meet with her, check on how she is doing. Just to be her friend again. But I know that it's risky. I couldn't do it without being tempted to return to darkness. I have been praying for God to bring her to himself. I weep over her.
Anyway, I have been very depressed because of this and some other stuff. God knows. I would appreciate prayer. I am going through a very hard time in my life and my heart is heavily wounded.

God isn't a fool, He doesn't care exactly what you call Him, He knows when you are praying to Him or some other God. If I pray to the God of all creation even before I know Jesus,Jesus is going to answer, because through Him all things exist. There is no other God. He is the living God.

Thank you Bill again for your faithful delivery of Gods word and the insight he has given you. It blesses so many people and builds the body world wide. As part of the online Bethel community I just wanted to point out, that while the eagle story is a great metaphor, it’s been around for years, but it’s not remotely factual. Check with any ornithologist ( Bird specialist) and they will verify this just doesn’t happen. On the one hand it’s not a big deal but somebody somewhere put this out there knowing full well it wasn’t true and as Bill has taught us… if we believe a lie we empower the lier. Can someone make this correction please. We love and support Bethel but it’s the little foxes that spoil the vineyard. Please let’s tend to this. Much Love and respect in Christ
