I just picked one up from microcenter a couple days ago, came with the I7 13700HX, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, with a 4070. 240hz display for 1400.

I was about to get this same model from Micro Center then I found a model with the exact same specs but with an i9 for about $80 from B&H Photo so I had to order that! I love it!

I just bought an AMD Ryzen 5 7645HX version of that with a 4050 for $811.00. I don't game, just needed something decent with a nice screen to take to Philippines when I retire soon. Laptops cost a LOT down there.

I know all the kids don't consider cool to like the RTX 4060, but based on all I have seen online, it is cool. It is cool.
Speaking of cool, did I mention something about the temperatures? Did you do any testing for CPU and GPU temps?

Plugged in, with the screen set to 1440, hard capped at 60fps and DLSS going, this can give a really nice game performance on Quiet power mode, with fans effectively unnoticeable. Mine has a 14900, which I don't think makes much difference in this scenario.
(Yes, I'm wasting performance here, but I always try a "quietest best" for laptops as a personal subjective benchmark. I actually wind up using this setting most of the time unless performance is really lacking...)

This review is incorrect in many ways:
    1. Legion 7 has also plastic
    2. 4060 is basically 1080p card there is no point on playing modern games in 2k unless you want to use crappy DLSS and frame gen
    3. It does not use 140w like any other cards. There is voltage lock which will limit you to 115w MAX in most games it will be around 100 in other close to 80. The only place you will see 140W is Furmark for some reason.
    4. YOU CAN'T REALLY CONTROL FANS IT'S LOCKED IN EC FIRMWARE. You can select silent mode but you can't CUSTOM mode with similar settings. In Legion Toolkit you can make custom and "regulate" it but EC firmware will still override it IF IT DESIDES TO DO SO. Basically your custom mode will work when there is close to zero load which is unreal.

Lenovo's wave of mega silent firings in early 2023 were absolutely despicable. They laid off thousands of really great people after posting record profits and bragging about moving up the Forbes list each quarter in their "All Hands" NA org sales meetings to those people that moved the needle for them. They ruined thousands of people's lives who relocated and rented or purchased new homes just to join the US sales organization during the digital boom of the pandemic and increase in business for them, forcing them to lose their homes and become homeless. Their warranty process is atrocious and considered terrible by anyone who has had to deal with service claims on top of this.
