Peeta did not betray her. He was playing the game using his strongest weapon, his brain. He proved his loyalty to her when she left the tree and he was telling her to go. In the books it goes into more details about that scene. He fought Kato to help her get away and hide. Kato ended up cutting his leg with a sword. Petta is very strong, smart and likeable. Those are his real weapons. If you notice he told her where to shoot Kato with her arrow.
For some reason they made Peeta way less cool in the movies
@@sunday7018 I 100% agree with u. There was so much that is left out of the movies especially when it comes to Peeta. In the second movie for some dumb reason they decided to leave it out along with a lot of other stuff, he has a fake leg. He lost his leg in the Hungry Games despite all their medical advancements. That's how bad and infected his leg was. Why they choose to not make that known is beyond me. That's why I like reading the books first if a movie is based off of it. It helps me to understand what's really going on.

(someone correct me if i’m wrong but im pretty sure) in the books, it’s made clear that the watching of the hunger games is mandatory. the tvs are programmed by the capital so they can play what they choose to. the news, the hunger games, etc. that’s why gale was in the woods.

These movies only get better. Get ready for a crazy ride! The second film gets a massive production bump and is filmed for IMAX. If you watch the Blu-ray version, there is an aspect ratio change mid film that really contributes to the experience. Highly recommend!

in the books it goes into more detail but those dogs at the end are each designed to look like one of the fallen tributes, just to torment the alive ones more! the capitol is sick

Good call about Maze Runner, These movies, Maze Runner and the Divergent Series were all released around the same time. each trilogy based off books. And all in dystopian society's.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but Thrush went out like badass. Cato had to get body armor from the Capital and they fought for days in a torrential downpour. He’s by far my favorite. I’m sure he was enraged when Rue died because the rule changed just afterwards and he might’ve been to save her. Clove threatened to slash katniss’s face to pieces, and he was an enraged wreck thinking that Rue might have die in a similar way. Most people theorize they didn’t stay together because he didn’t want to have to kill her himself, then the opportunity to save her too came too late.
Tresh is great. Him and Rue separeting could also be because Tresh, at least in the books, is huge and clearly a threat to the careers. So Rue staying with him might have been really dangerous for her since they often went after the stronger contestant.
The series is so good.. please react to all of it 🙏🏻 The prequel just came out 2 months ago and everything feels different. So awesome 🎉
