In This Kadhaipoma With Parveen Sultana program, we have a Writer Jeyamohan, Bahuleyan Jeyamohan is an Indian Tamil and Malayalam language writer and literary critic from Nagercoil in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
His best-known and most critically acclaimed work is Vishnupuram, a fantasy set as a quest through various schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. In 2014, he started his most ambitious work Venmurasu, a modern narration of the epic Mahabharata.
His other well-known novels include Rubber, Pin Thodarum Nizhalin Kural, Kanyakumari, Kaadu, Pani Manidhan, Eazhaam Ulagam and Kotravai. The early major influences in his life have been the humanitarian thinkers Leo Tolstoy and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Drawing on the strength of his life experiences and extensive travel around India, Jeyamohan is able to re-examine and interpret the essence of India's rich literary and classical traditions.
Born into a Malayali Nair family in the Kanyakumari district that straddles Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Jeyamohan is equally adept in Tamil and Malayalam. However, the bulk of his work has been in Tamil. Jeyamohan's output includes nine novels, ten volumes of short-stories/plays, thirteen literary criticisms, five biographies of writers, six introductions to Indian and Western literature, three volumes on Hindu and Christian philosophy and numerous other translations and collections. He has also written scripts for Malayalam and Tamil movies.

ஒருவரிடம் கேள்வி கேட்க வேண்டும் என்றால் அதற்கு ஏற்ற தயாரிப்புகளுடன் வர வேண்டும். அப்படி இல்லை என்றால் எளிமையான கேள்விகளைக் கேட்க வேண்டும். இரண்டும் இல்லாமல் அரை வேக்காட்டுத் தனமாகத் தன்னைப் பெரிய ஆளாக எண்ணிக் கொண்டு கேள்வி கேட்டால் இப்படித்தான் கன்றாவியாக இருக்கும். தலித் இலக்கியம் பற்றி கேட்கும் போது "அழகியல் நோக்கில் வேறு ஒரு வெளிச்சத்தை நோக்கி" என இஷ்டத்திற்குக் கேள்வியைக் கேட்டதைப் பார்த்தபோது அய்யய்யோ சுத்தமாக முடியவில்லை.

ஜெயமோகன் எழுதும் போது ஒரு தியான நிலையில் தன்னை மறந்து ஒரு கருவியாய் எழுதுகிறார். அதனால் புனைவு அருமையாக உள்ளது. அது வேற முகம் . நார்மலா இருக்கும்போது அவருடைய புத்தியும், மன நிலையும் ரோட்டில் டீ விற்கும் மலையாளியின் அளவுதான் உள்ளது. இரண்டு முகம் இருக்கிறது. 5௦௦ வருடங்கூட வரலாறு இல்லாத மலையாள மொழி பேசும் இந்த மலையாளியிடம் தமிழின் தொன்மம், சிறப்பு பற்றியும் கேட்டால் பொறாமையும், வெறுப்பும், காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சியும் தானே வரும். தயவு செய்து இந்த ஆளிடம் மைக்கை கொண்டு போய் நீட்டாதீர் அல்லது ஒரு தக்க பதிலடி கொடுத்து கரண்டியில் சூடு வைத்து அனுப்பவும் :)

He may be intelligent & his works may be good, but somehow his talks don’t appeal to me. Plus, he never mentions about the earlier writers like Sujatha & Balakumaran. Can someone be more versatile than Sujatha Sir?

But, Jeyamohan Sir, I can't accept your arguments on Academic Researchers, educators, teachers and professors. You have told all scholars should dream beyond, like Hawking and Carl Sagan. You told us, the scholars, to make language for better presentation. We, Scholars, indeed, beautify the scientific arguments. Paul Dirac had seen the beauty in equations. Perelman rejected the Clay award. A professor teaches the funny incidents during experiments, makes the concept interesting. Einstein, Maxwell, Raman, and Feynman were far better in research and, yet, equally created literatures, poems, stories. I support your anger on few teachers and professor who make fools in class rooms. Yes, many do PhD for living and pride. But, I witnessed many professors who makes great contributions in enrichment of mathematical, physical and philosophical arguments and report for future. You have Asokamithran, I have Maxwell, you have Sundhara Ramasamy, I have Einstein, You have Bharathi, I have Marie Currie, You have you, I have Feynman.

Major criticism on Paul Dirac by his peers is looking for symmetry or so called admiring beauty in equations. There are people who got lost in math, rather using math to understand nature. It's essentially due to the same problem. Science is dealing with things objectively, there is no room for beauty or asthetic admirations. People who did that, have failed miserably. It may happen once in a while, but dictating nature to have beautiful symmetries and equations would go wrong
@@saikumarkrithivasan136 Dirac was equally successful as Schrodinger, successfully unified theories of subatomic particles, derived first relativistic quantum expressions which helped in understanding of Bosons. Beauty in equations, in his way, is the ability to convey great understanding compactly. If someone is lost in beauty, let them enjoy it. I can say many more examples who lost their lives in beauty of literature.
