Thanks for the great footage, sad day as one of the five boats that I served on. Millions of dollars now spent to prevent an environmental disaster. To think that could have turned her into a museum piece five times over, but now Victorian people will have nothing for the millions spent. Now the Tasmanian government will move on the owners other vessel Wyhuna a former Port Phillip Pilot tender (massive vessel) and Australian Maritime College training vessel sitting rusting away in Launceston
I'm sorry for your loss. Would have been great if they could have got it to shore.
Sad to see it go!
Lovely piece I just could not watch it - broken hearted! Would you let me use this for our website and social medial and forward the link to ch 7 to use - It would be appreciated. I am a tv producer in a past life lol so I know nice work cheers and thank
So sorry for your loss.
Please feel free to use it on your website and social media. I'll try to make the videos available to you to download later today.
@@DansDestinations Thank you it may be the last real professionally shot of Otama before it is gone much thanks mate
Disgraceful to see it like this. I spent a bit of time on this at Plats in 93. Probably put the last coat of paint on the tube space deck and hull before being decommissioned.
A sad testament to poor projrct management
It would have been nice if the Vic govt. put some money into keeping the sub. I will miss photographing the old sub.
I'll miss it, too. I would always stop by when I was in the area.
