Thank you for the great video. What is the lubricant you use.
It is a water-soluble glass cutting fluid that we sell. perthartglass.com.au/product/ch50056/
I've used wd40 and it cuts fine for me!
or turpentine/kerosene. Very thin oil.
It's not a nuclear bomb you're working on!!💥
Can a 50mm circle be cut (using the circular cutter) while the glass is still vertical?
No, the minimum diameter the circle cutter can cut is approximately 80mm. You could cut the 80mm circle vertically using this technique.
Nice cut. Where to avail that glass cutter? Thanks
Hi, we sell them in our shop perthartglass.com.au/product/cutters-silberschnitt-circle-cutter/
china.
Is it possible to cut a tile the same way?
With the same technique, yes, but you might need a different type of cutter.
how about to cut a double side window glass ? you cannot touch the other side.
It's not recommended to cut glass while installed using this technique.
Is it true that it's very hard to cut old or weathered glass?
Yes and no. The 'cuttability' of glass is dependent on the manufacturing process but processes that were used in the past are more likely to produce brittle glass which is why it may seem like it's due to age.
What if you wanted to remove a circle from the glass, without moving the glass panel? could you do that
If you mean from a window still in its frame, then no, that is not recommended. You will not be able to apply the pressure needed.
@@perthartglass is there a circle cutter that instead of scores, cuts/grinds all the way through?
@@Analstrosen Tools such as bandsaws and drills work on glass if they have a diamond blade or bit and the cut is kept wet through the process.
@@perthartglass I know of diamond blades/tips but the compass thing, is there a blade that can cut deeper than other ones?
@@Analstrosen No, glass cutters are just scoring the glass.
Sir how much price? Please!
Links to the products used in this demo are in the video description.
Okay! And now show how this work on 8mm glass. On 3mm it can do even monkey.
Wtf happened there Bruce? 4:08
Haha, you noticed! There was a breakage on the first attempt.
There's a breakage on every attempt I've done so far. Not with your technique though, I'll try that and see what happens..
