Of the games arsenal have played so far this season there are a few that would’ve been “typical arsenal” if we’d lost them. Man united (at any point regardless of their issues); Chelsea away (before Wenger left that was a guaranteed L on the fixture list for 3-5 years running); City h/a (explains itself) & then Everton away is another one. We’ve struggled at Goodison regularly of recent years so even a 1-0 win is an improvement. I think of our results so far this season, only the Fulham draw can be classed as “typical arsenal” in terms of comparison to our reputation from the last 5-10 years. Otherwise we would’ve lost or maybe held on for a draw against Utd in recent years, we would’ve let the kovacić red card drama get into our heads and lost that game; we would’ve drawn the Everton game at least after martinelli’s goal got ruled out for offside & as soon as Chelsea went ahead against us, we would’ve capitulated and not had any hold on the game at all. We haven’t played as well as we can this season by any means; but the results we’ve got bode well for us in the grand scheme of things because it suggests we’re able to grind results even when we might not completely deserve them. Unlike last season

Chelsea deserve way more respect. We have played well all season and have been unlucky in a lot of games and with our injuries. People keep saying it's the sign of champions but Arsenal getting a draw to the "horrendous Chelsea" when everyone thought Arsenal would smash us. Chelsea dictated that whole game and Arsenal were handed a way back in. I'm not saying Chelsea are the best in the world with the silly errors but were good enough to dominate Arsenal who are so called "title contenders". Arsenal fans celebrating this is absolutely hilarious to me given how good they think they are. Watching Theo at the start saying Arsenal were gonna teach Chelsea a lesson and REEV saying it would be a clean sheet, compared to the their reactions of a getting a 2-2 draw is priceless. I just struggle with every fan bagging chelsea out this season and saying they’re shit. Yes I’m a chelsea fan but it’s honestly not bias. Feel like the ones giving us no respect and say we’re shit don’t actually watch us play and are just clueless and bring it back to heaps of money spent. Which I get it’s a lot and no direct link to top 4 and trophies yet but you can’t just build this in a year, why do you think our young players are on massive contracts. Because it’s a fkn project. Look how Poch and the club is building and playing. The relationships within the club are elite. Haven’t had that since Tommy t.
