    My ranking:
    3. Tears Getting Sober (Rarely getting goosebumps because of a song but here I got them.)
    2. If Love Was A Crime (Don't think I have to say much. It's terrific.)
    1. Na Inat (I even memorized the chorus although I don't speak Bulgarian. That's how much I loved it back then. Still a huge enjoyment to listen to today.)

      I get goosebumps for Years Getting Sober!!!!! It's really interesting how much love Na Inat gets from the Eurofandom! I would not have thought many would have put it above If love was a crime! It's interesting...

    1. Bones
    2. If Love Was A Crime
    3. Beautiful Mess
    Bulgaria 🇧🇬 were giving us some good songs through these past years (not 2022 lol). I will miss them!

      NOT 2022 haha!
      Yeah Bulgaria was totally upping their game recently. They will be missed!

    My number one Bulgaria's Eurovision song is from Poli Genova If love was a crime - it is a timeless BOP.
    I also like both of Victoria's songs, Equinox's Bones and Kristian's Beautiful Mess.
    I hope that they will be back next year despite the announcement.

    Wow! You are quite harsh. But I totally agree with you about the Best songs from Bulgaria. It’s really sad that they are leaving because I think over the last six years (up until last year) they have really raise their game. Very petulant but if they thought last year’s song was excellence then maybe it is the right choice for them. Just a big shame really.

      Was I harsh Robbie? Haha!
      As you said...a huge shame...as they had building great momentum recently.
      You would hope this is not a reaction to last years results!
      I hope they do come back....as I feel they have offered good value to the contest the ast few years.

    2008 (even if it felt quite cheap at the time and more so now), 2016 and 2021 are my favourites here.

    Tears getting sober, Bones and Love unlimited. Poli could get in as well with either of hers, but Love is such a true Balkan bop, I absolutely love it :)

    Hello! It's sad to hear that Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro are withdrawing from the contest. My top 4 Bulgarian songs are (It's equal between No. 1 and 2):
    4. Poli Genova - "If love was a crime", great song, the chorus "got stuck in my head".
    3. Kristian Kostov - "Beautiful Mess", It's a beautiful song, very emotional, he sings with passion and only 17 years old!
    2. Equinox - "Bones", I love this song!! It's dynamic, passionate, with such power and they sing well together.
    1. Victoria - "Growing up is getting old", beautiful song, It's real, authentic, she tells a personal story, unique voice and she sings with emotions. I like how the song builds, from quietly to stronger and ends quietly again. It's happiness and a little sadness at the same time. (written by herself and Swedish songwriters⭐). Take care! 🌺

      LOVE the justification for your number 1 Susanne. Growing up is getting old is quality - I love the build too. Great top 4 over all :-)

    Could Poli represent another country?!! Because not that long ago she was talking about coming back and I was so excited! (And you know I love your channel and think you're great, so I'll forgive you for not liking Beautiful Mess. LOL! - You did soften the blow by saying your like Kristoff 😏) Victoria deserved SUCH a better placement than she got with Growing Up....Tears wasn't for me, but she did sing beautifully on that too.

    • @ShanesEurovisionReview
      @ShanesEurovisionReview  Před rokem

      Hahaha thank you forgiving me about Kristian!!! Yeah I can't explain it...I just never got the hype :-)
      Yeah I think Poli was going to represent Bulgaria but they just could not get the funding!!! Not sure what her other options would be.....San Marino????

    My favs 2007, 2016 and oooo between 2017 and 2021. 2020. 2019 it's all right but I was never as mad for it as the Uber fans. I remember kicking off at the huge Supermarket cheque in the UK at the start of lockdown - going wtf we're not Italy - I'm not proud of that it was shit..

  • @terryseurovisionworld

    Yeah that statement just read like a whole bunch of sour grapes to me. I certainly believe money is playing a part here. I expect Bulgaria only took part this year as Intelligent Music Project funded it themselves. But I deffo feel the poor result is making them say they don't want anything more to do with Eurovision.
    Yaaaay, the pen, and paper is back. I knew you wouldn't be able to resist it forever 😂
    Okay, can I get real controversial here and say I cannot stand 2007, it's just noise to my ears. Sorry Shane. 😆
    I'm also not the biggest fan of 'Na Inat', I don't particularly remember it being a big fan favourite back in 2011 either. So I do feel that her 2016 return has made people look back on 2011 with more fondness than they perhaps originally did.
    Also not a big fan of 2017 either, I feel we both may get a lot of hate on that one 😬
    Thank God indeed for Victoria, two great songs. Especially 'Tears Getting Sober' which is utterly gorgeous in my opinion.

    • @ShanesEurovisionReview
      @ShanesEurovisionReview  Před rokem

      I agree with you regarding last year. The only reason they participated is INTELLIGENT MUSIC PROJECT paid for the whole thing.
      But yes,...that statement was well SALTY!
      Haha if its any consolation I don't actually listen to 2007 now!
      YESSSSS with our mutual feelings of 2017! Allot ALLOT of love for this one!

    Bulgaria at Eurovision are great and they should have won in 2017 (ohh controversial) so I will miss them hopefully they come back.
    Anyway my top 5:
    1. 2018 (one of my favourites ever)
    2. 2017 (should have won)
    3. 2016 (absolute bop)
    4. 2020 (emotional, could have won if the contest happened)
    5. 2011 (so robbed!!)

    I actually prefer Na inat to If love was a crime, although I also love that one. Na inat was my favourite song from 2011, I’m still not over it not qualifying 🤣 but my absolute favourite song from Bulgaria is Tears getting sober. Also not a fan of 2017, I mean it’s fine but super overrated in my opinion 😊

    • @ShanesEurovisionReview
      @ShanesEurovisionReview  Před rokem

      YES Charlotte! Hahaha I was getting a few comments (which I was expecting) about their love for 2017....but I just never got it....thats the beauty of personal tastes I guess :-)
      I respect your opinion regarding Na Inat and preferring it to Love is a Crime! It is a credible sounding song...there is no doubt of that! But I guess my ears to POP is like a moth to a flame haha!
      Also WELCOME BACK CHARLOTTE...long time no speak :-)

    How sad to see Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro leaving…. Will miss them as much as I miss Hungary, Slovakia…so many countries are out now. Perhaps we should go back to one semi now….
