I remember my daddy playing this song growing up and I remember wishing one day someone would look at me like that.
Now when i listen to it all i can think about is my two best friends, a girl i've known since third grade and my stepsister.
I met Katie in the second half of third grade, she had just recovered from a surgery that she'd been out of school from all year. We became inseperable, but like most elementry school friendships, it kinda faded the next year when we were in different classes. We talked a couple times in 5th grade but that was it. We went to the same middle school and said hey in the hallways sometimes, but never talked.
I remember when freshman year started and i got on the bus and she was sitting in the second seat, and she was like "Rose?!" and i was like "Katie?!"
We still sit together on the bus every day, and we're inseperable. She has all the boys after her, but i swear none of them can love her like i do.
I met my stepsister, Emma, last september and she's my best friend, we became close almost immediatly. I love her mama as well.
Emma was a premature birth, so she's alot smaller than most people our age. Me, her mama, and my stepbrothers are all very protective of her and we treat her like a princess, but she's not spoiled (ok she is a little.)
She honestly saved my life, and got me through some of the worst stuff i've been through. Even if our parents split i will always love her, I have so many memories with her, sneaking out and hanging out with my friends, getting a little tipsy playing never have i ever in my room, our parents taking us to saint augustine to see the christmas lights, trying to cook in the middle of the night and setting off the smoke alarm....
She's my girl.

Hang in there! We went through 12 years of infertility. Had so many tests that I can't count. I tried medications also. We gave up and adopted our first in 2000, 2003 became pregnant out of the blue and in 2008 we adopted again. You can have children, sometimes you have to open other doors and search for them.
