Hi Ma'am, My father is having hard time swallowing solid food, his radiations are about to finish. Our radiation oncologist has suggested to stop the soda saline gargle and has prescribed Benzamydine alcohol free gargles. Can we restart the soda saline gargle? Also, Ma'am from yesterday he is getting lot of cough in his mouth. The good part is cough is not stuck it comes out easily though mouth. Is this normal?

@@abhi4733 My father is alright now. Although he cant take spicy food but rest of the thing he can eat. Radiation is tough but it will pass by. make sure to gargle atleast 15 times, keep hygeine of mouth, my father's oral ulcer due to radiations were so severe by last week of radiation he had to put ryles tube. Complete the treatment keep doing mouth exercise. Cough will be there, and more salive will be produced. But this will get normal with time. All the best for the treatment it is hard but worth all the pain!
