  • In this video we create and shape up the rear end of the C4 with a custom splitter design right off the top of my head. a little more work to do to dial it in perfect but its a great start!
let me know in the comments what you think and if there are any changes you would make.
we are gearing up for a show next week AND we are clearing the hood next video and prepping for the show PLUS a little peek at the upcoming door panels!

Off topic question, howd you get the c4 tail lights to hook up to your blueghozt? did you use a 2-3 wire splitter by chance? Im trying it with my 1990 corvette cuz its got those dual filament 1157 bulbs where the DRL/tail lights are on their own wire and the brake and turn share the second wire. I cant seem to get it to work, the module keeps getting confused. any thoughts or suggestions?

Good question!! Oh it was not that easy my friend. I tried the splitter but it did not work as I needed it. As you may or may not know, the brake signal and the turn signal are on the same fixtures. If you have a third brake light you would think you would be able connect the ghozt to that but then then the turn signal would still activate when you press the brakes. What I had to do was cut the brake signal wire at the pedal and run a dedicated brake signal from the pedal to the controller. When you sever that connection the ECU of the car would only see turn signal to the rear lights. It's a bit hard to explain LOL
Basically, the car ECU controls the lighting to switch between signal and brake. You'll need to bypass that signal and one filament signal will be your park light and the other a turn signal. You'll also need to switch your flash relay to an electronic one in order to use LEDS as well otherwise it won't have enough draw to pull that relay in and activate

I may be able to do a "short" explaining this on a whiteboard.. may be a little easier to explain 😆

@@RustedandBusted thatd be awesome, I think I get the jist but itd be helpful for anyone experiencing a similar issue. The biggest struggle when doing super specific unique jobs like this is when you look up solutions you never find someone in the same situation lol

@@RustedandBusted If you did a short could you show where you located the wire you had to cut on the car? Im looking into it and It seems like most c4 corvettes have 2 plugs that go into the brake switch
