Craftsman cordless tools are much like the old Ryobi ones; fairly good when new but if used heavily they don't last. Not anywhere near the level of Makita, Milwaukee, or DeWalt having less power and a shorter life. They are much cheaper and great for homeowners and trades who don't push tools hard daily, and the batteries are very good. Also they have a wide range of tools using the same battery which is a big plus if you're building a 'tool system' and not just using a few common tools. My partner at work burns up something every couple months with his Craftsman 20V tools and when he needs more horsepower he borrows my 20V DeWalt stuff (which ain't what it used to be).

I bought a kit about a year ago that included an LED light and that light is a GREAT little tool to have. Bright as heck, stands on its own and you always know how much power you have left. Don’t discount the light as a throw away or a waste.

I agree the lights can come in handy. But they can usually be found on sale or clearanced out a lot cheaper than actual power tool..So thats why I'd rather have a tool in a conbo deal than a light. just my opinion

good to hear I had craftsman powertools when I first started 20 years ago than once those died went with milwaukee and ryobi mostly but some of these deals craftsman has are hard to pass up

I have the 8 piece craftsman busted kit they do the job I have had them since 2018 haven't broke them yet and I got the small brushed weedeater it does the job I have other power tools also 😊😊
