If the rankings are only a facade mustered up by a group of mystery people, why does the UFC acknowledge them by posting the exact same numbers next to the fighter's names during their broadcasts? Whether a person decides to take them seriously or not isn't very relevant when the parent company clearly seems to recognize them as being official.
