Bugger about the truck still not on the road, must be a real problem they cannot solve. (Ute's as they are called in the land down under).
I have one car that is the tow vehicle for the boat, and my daily driver to and from work, so itsbeen good. 2000 Ford Falcon sedan, petrol 4ltr auto, its got 338,000 km on him, had it fir 8 years. Its green really good fortunately, but those cars are proven and underestimated cars. Ford stopped making the falcon's on 2016, so it's only a 4x4 Ute if I have to get another tow vehicle.
Fishing gear....you would not be the first nor last to get not only weird lures but stuff you probably will not use.
The telescopic rod is good. I have a 12 foot, it's handy as a travel rod. I use my car for shore based fishing so my gear needs to be two piece rods or telescopic to fit in the boot (trunk).
Maybe go for a shore based fishing for the time being...

Overall, hope you are doing OK. We all have no doubt you will be back near or on the water in no time.

What's up Dave! I picked up my truck this morning and it's running great! Got my fingers crossed in hopes that the check engine light stays dormant. I'm heading out to do a lil fishing today. That Ford Falcon you own sounds like a beast of a vehicle and super reliable. Glad that it has performed well in the years you have owned it. My truck is a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. Picked it up used in Alaska back in 2004. Drove it all over the U.S. and had it shipped to Italy while stationed there and then shipped back to the states after retirement. Owned it for 19 years and doing my best to keep it on the road. Thanks for dropping by Dave. You always provide insight and positive comments. Take care brother!
