When I first started watching Ant, I thought the person named SmallAntMom in chat was someone pretending to be his mam. But as I saw her appear more and more I realised he just has a really cool mam. It was really great getting to hear from her and watch her and Ant interact in-person!

Yeah. My mom occasionally plays video games, but the only ones we play are NEW Mario Bros Wii and Super Mario Party. The fact that she got 43 on the leader board second try is amazing.

I don't think people truly understand that. For her to just sit there, beside her son, playing this game, it means the absolute world to her. There's been nights she has cried herself to sleep thinking she lost her baby because her baby isn't a baby anymore. All parents do it one day lol. My son is 16 months, and I'm positive old day, when he becomes grown up and moves out on his own, I'm going to cry. Parents cherish every moment with their child, even when they grow up

If your situation is like normal, you've always seen your parents as one thing, but they've seen you change stages in life from infant to toddler to child to preteen to teen to young adult. And they've fallen in love with every iteration of you, and watched as you needed them less and less, and its shattering. Dont forget about them because they're never going to forget about you.
The best thing about this is, when someone makes a your mom joke to him. He could just show them this video in order to prove that even his mom is cooler than them.

It took me a long time to figure out too; like, I was about 85% sure it was his real mom, and then I did eventually hear him say directly that "smallantmom" is his real mom... and then she was on the stream!
She isn't a mod, though. She is a VIP, which basically means her messages are easier to notice.

My mom is a legit boomer at 69, I'm 28, and she still knows most of the original 151 Pokémon because of me and to a lesser extent my older brother. Parents can be encouraging and have fun with their childrens interests too.

My dad would always get the newest console (and still does) while my mom sticks with the classics, like Mario, Street Fighter, etc. It's really nice learing about and discovering games through them. You're right, it's really awesome to be able to relate and talk about shared interests with your parents, even if it's not just videogames ❤

This was such a delight to watch. It really shows how supportive and invested your mom is in what youre doing - I really wish all parents could put that amount of investment into their children's interests, because too many just refuse to care.

Most of the time, when I see someone bring their mom into a video it feels all stilted and awkward to me, as though they don't know what's going on. SmallAntMom knows enough to not be totally lost and is able to actually be cool, which kills me because I can't even do that half the time
